Because of my cancer (etc...) issues since 6 years ago, my family has been on an extremely limited budget, we have had no frills since my child was born and any "vacations" were to funerals, and usually we had help paying for the gas and stayed with family.

Last year I learned about Amazon Mturk, and vowed that my family would make it to Disneyland before DS (6) was too old to care about Cars Land like he would now. Anyway, Today, because of my ability to work that site (and my ridiculously exensive research), I have now been able to earn, save, and been gifted enough to take my family on our first real vacation since my son was born.

We use mTurks where I work. Sometimes I think about doing our hits while I'm at work. You know, because I could get paid more, but still technically be doing my job.

Wow, that's great! Do you mind if I ask how much time you devote to doing this? $3,000 is impressive!

Usually 3-5 hours a day, off and on, mostly mornings, a large portion of my income from Mturk is from college studies. and a large portion of those studies are posted between 6am and 10 am PST, little comes up most weekends, and Christmas break, forget it, I think I earned less than $80 for that whole two and a half weeks, (by contrast most weeks I earn 150 - 200)

oh also there was a two month period where I had a major surgery and, because of meds, it took me two months to be able to think clearly enough to do hits (unfortunately this was the first two months of school) so this is really about 6 months of work
