Patio at Rose & Crown PS to see fireworks? What time?

On our trip in 2001 we had PS at Rose & Crown. Using advice from this board we scheduled our PS so that we would be able to get a patio table, eat and finish up in time to have a perfect view of the fireworks from our patio table. I would love to do this again. I made PS today for our March trip and the CM suggested making our PS 1 hour before the fireworks are scheduled to start. For some reason it seems like last time we had PS for about 1 1/2 hours before the fireworks to ensure we recieved a patio table. (of course we ordered drinks, 'starters', our meal and then dessert to keep from 'hogging' the prime location of the table ~ But it was worth it!)

Is there a thread on this topic already or does anyone have knowledge of the the correct time?

I would suggest making the PS for two hours before the fireworks. Mention to your server that you tip very well for slow service (they are used to this).

First order your drinks. After they come and you have had a few minutes to relax, ask for menus and order you appetizers. Only after the appetizers have arrived should you consider your main courses. After you are finished with the main course, then ask about and order desserts.

If everything is timed correctly your dessert should arrive just a few minutes before IllumiNations. The server will then bring the bill during the fireworks and you will be ready to pay it and leave when the fireworks are over.

Be sure to leave a VERY large tip (at least 25%) to make up for the server not having two tables of people during the time period.

Two weeks ago I had a PS for 7 pm at Rose & Crown. We were seated just before 7:30 pm and we took our time, as did our waitress, and we were there through the fireworks. It helps if you get an appetizer and/or dessert to stretch things out. They never rush you there though...

We loved the food, the view, the service - everything was wonderful. Have fun!

We had our PS at 8:00 for the CP package and we just got our dessert when the fireworks started.

We had a PS for 7:50, but showed up at around 7:30, and got seated outside. We were on the "upper" patio, but were allowed to move down to a lower area (a closed outside dining area) to watch Illuminations.
