Paths from WL to FW

Someone must know about a bike path and/ or sidewalk connecting Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness campground? We were thinking of renting bikes for a ride over the FW for lunch and a stables visit.

It appears a path begins at the WL Bike Rental building heading in the direction of FW. Also, there looks to be a sidewalk along the length of West Wilderness Road connecting the two resorts. Can anyone confirm the existence of these? Have you traveled along these paths? Thank you for your replies.

I know from the WL resort map that there is a bike path along the lake from the WL bike / boat rental shack. We could see it from our room in the villas, from there it looked like a sand path, but being marked as a bike path I don't think it really is sand but something more stable.

Also, in the past, I walked a path which starts near the WL bus stop. It's a nice walk in the woods, there is some kind of internal road near it which I think is only used by Disney busses, never saw much traffic on it. That path ended near the stables at Fort Wilderness. It was an easy 20-30 min. walk.

When you look at the aerial view on Google Maps, you can see both the bike path near the lake as well as the walking / jogging path alongside the W. Wilderness Rd.

Yep, there's a paved path that runs along the bus route from FW to WL. They've got barriers at the ends so that only bikes and pedestrians use it, ie. no golf carts.

You can get on the path at FW near the Settlement bus stop where the Backyard BBQ takes place. At WL, the path begins/ends right near the front entrance. If you go past the front bus stop and walk down the sidewalk as if you were exiting the property, you'll come across the path.

As mentioned, there is some sort of unpaved dirt path along the lake, but I've never used it except during the Segway tour.

It is a really nice walk...but don't walk or ride bikes too late in the day because once it gets dark it's hard to find your way as the trail does not have lights.

My mistake! As you can see on the resort map, No. 30 is marked as "Nature Trail", not as bike path. That's the other path, leading towards the bus stop and eventually connection to the other, paved path described above.
