Anyone have a easy Pasta salad recipe they would share? Looking for something simple to take to a pcinic this wekeend.

Thanks,
Tammy

This is what I use:

Pasta Salad

1 lb tri-colored screws
8 oz 3-bean salad
6 oz marinated artichoke hearts
8 oz Newman’s Own Balsamic Vinaigrette
4 oz chickpeas, drained

For company or special occasions, I add:
½ bag frozen broccoli/cauliflower/carrot mix
4 oz pepperoni (cut slices into slivers)
1 c shredded mozzarella
¼ c Parmesan or Romano
4 oz black olive slices, drained
1 tomato, chopped

(No need to cook broccoli mix – just defrost before adding. The crunch is a nice contrast to the pasta & by using the frozen it’s somewhat softer than fresh would be.)

This is what I make:

1 lb spaghetti (boiled & drained)
1 bottle of wishbone italian dressing
Salad Supreme (McCormick) toss in as desired for flavor
Pepperoni
Tomato
Cucumber
Green Pepper
Cheese cubes (if desired)
or any other veggies

Very simple and no need to refridgerate.

if you do a search in this forum on pasta salad, it will bring up threads that had pasta salad recipes

the name says it all

8 oz chunky pasta shapes, cooked (med. shells, rotini, bowties, whatever)
chopped fresh veggies - I like to use broccoli, carrots, grape tomatoes and a little green onion, but you can use almost anything
ranch dressing to coat - I've used plain, garlic ranch, sun-dried tomato ranch, etc

I completely forgot this one. DDIL's mother makes this & it's very different from anything else I've ever had....really good! ::yes:: Oh - and even though she calls it "macaroni" salad, she used these interesting spirals...sort of like a tube in a corkscrew shape & they had ridges on them. It wasn't quite the same with regular elbows or with rotini. :confused3

Hearty Macaroni Salad

2 c cooked chicken, cubed (or shredded)
2 c cooked ham, cubed
2 c salad shrimp
7 – 8 oz macaroni shells
½ c celery, diced
¼ c sweet red pepper, diced
¼ c green pepper, diced
¼ c onion
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp sugar
½ c mayo
1 tsp dill weed, dry or
1 Tbl fresh dill weed
½ c sour cream
2 Tbl vinegar

Cook pasta according to package directions & drain. Toss pasta, veggies, meat, salt & pepper together. Mix sugar, mayo, dill, sour cream & vinegar. Pour over salad & chill.

[NOTES: Do not use leftover baked ham, especially if you stud yours with cloves. It becomes overpowering. Try using a slice of ham steak & the Perdue shortcuts work if you don’t do chicken ahead.]

Pasta, pepperoni, shredded cheddar cheese, tomotoes, and Italian dressing to taste.

Doesn't get any easier than that! :)

Rotini, tomatoes, cucumbers and italian dressing (l prefer the Zesty Italian in the package that you make) but have also used Wishbone. Serve chilled
