Pasta on marathon eve?

We ate at the restaurant on the BW that is now Cat Cora's place (Can't recall the old name.) for the half a couple years back. It was absolutely awful. Wait went about an hour past our ADR time and they had nothing special planned for marathon weekend. I thought I had choose wisely since we were staying at BCV. I did get a pasta dish, but it was terribly spicy and not a good decision. :lmao:

I'm thinking POP on Friday night and either POR or Wolfgang Puck Express on Saturday. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll skip planning an ADR then.

I do remember them! It was a nice way to bond with fellow racers. These days, it is a little bit tougher. That is one of the reasons that I am so excited to have found W.I.S.H. Now I don't have to be alone!

We tried the Pasta in the Park last year. If it were not sooo cold, I think we would have said it was a 100% enjoyable experience. We had a mixed table of runners and families who thought runners were silly - gave me a chance to yuck it up.

The entertainment was excellent and the food decent. I thought is wierd the meal was on Thursday - but I would not have stayed for the fireworks if it were Friday or Saturday.

Trying to budget for 2011. How much is the Pasta in the Park?

I think it was $45 a head..but includes a park pass and firework vieing area. I think we were allowed in the park at 5 (could have been 6) so we had an hour or longer to kill before eating. THen you had some time post meal before the fireworks. It seems pricey but I thought it was not a bad deal given the additional park time.
