Who's doing the Pasta Party on Saturday? I just signed up and really would rather not be that creepy guy eating in a corner all alone. I'm perfectly fine being that creepy guy eating with a bunch of new friends! ;-)

Run Disney hosts a pasta buffet dinner in Epcot each night before races (For I for the folks running the half, Sat for the folks running the full). It's about $50. Check the RD website. There are still spots left. Last year my pre race dinner was horrible (pizza from VN, I think). Hoping this will be better fuel!

Further, info

The Pasta in the Park is in the old Millennium Building between Canada and Great Britain in Epcot. For the fee, one gets a entrance after 6pm into Epcot, the meal, and a special viewing spot for Illuminations. There a a really good DJ hosting the meal and character photos ops. Until this year, it was on Thursday night, only. This year, they expanded the nights in include Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

I have attended 2 of the 3 years offered, though passing this year due to the arrival dates of my party.

Does anyone know if they escort you to the building upon entry and then escort you to the illuminations viewing area, thus preventing you from visiting other parts of Epcot on just your meal ticket? I was hoping to sneak in a few rides like the ball, maelstrom, los caballeros, etc. Maybe even grab a grey goose slushie. I have been told though that if it's a special event during park hours that does not require a theme park admission ticket they escort you to and from the event to keep you from doing this.

Also, Coach Charles, is the grey goose slushie a bad idea? I'm doing Princess and the party is on Friday with the race on Sunday so it's not the night before.

No, you have the run of the park. The media is required to enter through a special gate (it was far right up front the first year) Once you passed the turnstile, you were on your own.

With regard to the slushie... maybe. If you regularly have a drink a couple nights before a long run, then no harm no fowl. If the race looks to be warmer than you are used to, make sure to hydrate the following day.

Yay on both answers! Thanks Coach!

it's looking like maybe I will indeed be that creepy guy eating alone in the corner.
