Past Oct/Nov cruiser do we need a light/summer jacket/coat

What is the weather like? We are going Magic Western on Oct 25.

How is it at night in port and days at sea?

Asking because found out today, DS has grown out of his light summer jacket.(DH and I have one, would hate him not to have a jacket if needed one) Do I need to find him a light coat/jacket for the cruise.

We live in the Maine may be hard to find one (winter clothes out now).

Going in 20 days may need to look at ebay, any other suggestions

I dont think u will , we have done the western route before and
found a light jacket at night not required....

I always bring a jacket - what if you get a rainshower or a cool breeze at night? Yup, it's my age (48) and I need my shawl along with my orthopedic shoes.

I dont think you will need a jacket,my wife and i go every Oct.
We will be on the Oct 25th as well, never done the halloween cruise before.Avereage temps during that time are 87 day and 79 at night nice and warm .We also have had perfect weather every time hope it does the same for our cruise again.

I was wondering the same thing but was also wondering what the temperature was like inside the restaurants and theaters. Will short sleeves, long sleeves, or sweaters/jackets be best in these venues for our 10/23 trip? Thanks for your help.

The only place that we froze was in the onboard movie theatre we had to bring blankets from room,the rest of the trip was good

We're going the second week in November, and I'm packing light jackets for everyone. I'd rather have them just in case.

If you can't find them locally anymore, you could order from Lands' End.

Being from Florida, Key West exalty, I have found that in October we start with cool nights --BUT what appears cool to me is just right from those that experience REAL COLD weather up North - it is always to be safe than sorry -----the past few years it appears as tho the weather is getting cooler and cooler, but then as Rae puts it "age" - that was a stitch Rae ---at that age you still in prime of life -----

As I write from my wheelchair (motorized, of course - so I can still chase men)....and politely ask for my attendant to wipe the drool and oatmeal from my chin.....I realize that one of the reasons I want my sweater on is that I remember when I was young (47) - that I was at WDW in October and there was a very cold (even for us northcountry folks) that sent me into the stores to buy sweatshirts for all family members (equate the cost of the Disney sweatshirts to that of buying a small Third World country).

Yes, Shirley, my friend, at my advanced age of 48, I'm not taking any chances!

So glad you are back Rae, your sense of humor was missed.

Seriously, I was cold in the restaurants and theaters on the ship, not on deck. I planned each outfit with a shawl, swim wrap or sweater for a coverup--easy to carry and handy to use. The swim wrap makes a wonderful shawl!! I am "Older than Dirt" 54 for Rae's 48 and should be warm all the time because of those "hot flashes" but I never get them and so, I am always cold.

So, I recomment that you plan outfits in layers. A jacket is not necessary, but a sweatshirt would do well.

I can't comment on whether you need a jacket, however, if you choose to bring one try Lands' End. They still have lightweight jackets available.

Yes, bring something "just in case"......

Michael is bringing his leather riding jacket....with the fringe and horse odor! He practically lives in it now since it smells like his horse.....don't even ask!
