Past Jan Discounts???

We are planning our second trip for Jan 29-Feb 4th. Does anyone know what kind of discounts, if any, have been offered during that time in the past few years ?

Since that is still value season, I would compare it to the AP rates that are available for September. I would not compare it to last year's rates, since this year's rates are proving to be much higher and formated differently. I think September rates are $59 value, $89 moderate, and $70 off of delux resorts. But keep in mind that if you don't use the best rate program, availability may be much more limited than it has been in the past. (Seems the rules have all changed when it comes to reserving a room now.)

If you want to see previous year's rates, you can look at this site but this year's rates have definitely been higher. It can give you an idea of the range between categories though.

Hi,

In 2003 and 2004 we were able to get the AKL Concierge with an AP rate of $277 a night inc tax. For this past Jan, 2005, the AP rate on AKL Concierge went up to about $385 a night inc tax. The AP rate for a regular savanna view room was very reasonable at $151 a night plus tax so we went with that. I am hoping for an AP rate that will keep us at $200 a night or less inc tax at the AKL as we truely love this place and enjoy staying there during our winter trip to the "world".

Have there been any other discounts besides AP? We don't have an AP and honestly I don't think we'd make in back down within a year to justify getting one.
