Past Discounts for Thanksgiving

We're thinking of arriving at Disney on Thanksgiving Day and spending 5 nights...hopefully to see all the beautiful Christmas decorations. Does Disney normally have any type of promotion or room only discounts during Thanksgiving and the weekend that follows it?

Typically the week of Thanksgiving is blocked. I do know that many PIN offers that people have received allow them to book their special rate beginning Sunday the 29th. If anything, you might have to pay rack rate for the first 3 nights, and then get the discounted rate for the last 2 nights.

Maybe with a pin, sign up everywhere you can. etc. Our pin had no blackouts including turkey week! But we check in the 28th and stay - the 6th
