Hi Everyone...

I was hoping someone could tell me if there are ever any deals offered in Oct? Specifically Late Oct. Does Disney ever offer anything great during this time frame?

We have gone in Sept in the past but cannot justify pulling my kids out as DS is now in middle school. We have fall break in late Oct. 10/23-29

Also what about crowd levels?

Thanks in advance ya'll!!:goodvibes

There were AP rates for that time last yer - we got a flat rate of 75.00 off deluxes for 10/18 -10/26. Occupancy isnt too bad, but the MK does close earlier on a lot of nights for the MNSSHP.Crowds were manageable IMO.

I think crowd levels for late October are lower than say Columbus day week when we are going. Most people have fall break the first two weeks of October, so you should have a good time the last week. Also the weather will probably be alot better by then too. September is just too hot:scared: . We were able to get 40% off our room with a pin code. Why don't you call Disney and see if you have a pincode attached to your name. Otherwise discounts last year didn't come out until about 60 days before and they didn't seem to save much.

Geez, I've replied to this question like three different times in the past week. Last year, the code for October was somewhere between 20 and 25 % off of rack rate. WE paid about $140 a night at POFQ, with regular rate was $179 (Don't have the exact #s, of course Disney doesn't supply them.) The code came out mid-August. The crowd levels in mid-October (14-20) were very very tolerable, we never waited more than about 15 minutes for any ride, though we took mid-day breaks for our daughter to get a nap each day and of course used wise touring strategies. A lot of UK / international folks that time of year.

Geez skier_pete, ....kaysmommie:wave2: , & rhiannonwales,

Thanks for the info.

pixiedust: Here's some pixie dust for those of us looking for a great deal.

I am hoping the crowds are about the same as mid Sept. Would you agree?

Thanks

Well ihavent been to WDW in september since free dining started, but it was definetly more crowded than my last experience with september.
I would say on a scale of one -six i'd give it a 4.
