Hi everyone, are there any past cast members out there? I have been very very very interested in working for Disney for about a year now, I non stop think about it.
I've been to the website but don't really know where to go from there.

Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Thanks :)
Christianna

I'm a Cast Member (past and present) if I may be of any help to you.

Your post didn't indicate whether or not you're located here in the Orlando area ready to work or living in another state planning to move down.

My suggestion would be to visit our Casting Center located across the street from Downtown Disney. That's where the magic will begin. If you're already in the area you could be hired very quickly. Visiting the Casting Center from outside Florida will at least give you an idea of what's available to help you make a decision to move here and work for Disney.

Good luck.

1) If you apply for an hourly job, you can hired on-the-spot, start in 1-2 days.
2) They are DRASTICALLY short of people!
3) Starting pay is $7.35/hr to $9.85/hr (union regulated rates).
4) Plus, there are hiring bonuses from $1,000 to $2,000 for each of these
. . . Housekeeping
. . . Counter Service Host/Hostess
. . . Front Desk/Concierge
. . . Bus Drivers
. . . Security
. . . Cooks (up to $2,00 hiring bonus)
5) If you want professional, then apply via the website and wait for a call.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone about know about how much a starting concierge makes at Disney?

Just as a guess (okay, based on RustyScupper's information ;)) between $7.35 and $9.85 to start.

For the most part, Concierge is the former Guest Services counter at EVERY Disney resort. In addition, the Deluxe resorts have a Concierge level or building/s.

What is the starting pay for making reservations for people who call in?
What is that job called? Would you be a travel agent?
When I call to book my trip I seem to know more about the discounts then they do.
Thanks!

OTIMON- thanks for the reply! I actually live in Canada so it will be a big change! Do you mind me asking where you work?

Thanks!
