Passports

Just from my recent experience- I express posted two of my kid's passport applications July 7, and they were delivered there on the 9th. I finally saw a credit card payment taken out this past Aug 7 (posted Aug 9). Hoping to see the returned documents and new passports by next week. They took the payments so I'm assuming everything was in order...

They took the payments so I'm assuming everything was in order...

I am hoping that is the case. It is now almost 4 weeks since they received it. I also used the link provided above to check on the status....and it's been crickets!!!! It did say 5 days. The end of today is " 5 business government working days " So hopefully I see something in my email tonight. I'm going to resubmit the form again tomorrow (if I don't see any email response to see how long it takes.

I am glad I took a picture of my passport that I sent...for a just in-case situation.

To further update- I missed the delivery today, but Canada post stopped by my house today with the passports (they left notices with my kid's names on them-one for each passport I applied for). I will have to go to the outlet to pick them up tomorrow, but it took less than a week to get here once they charged my credit card.

My recent timeline for DD’s:

Mailed application June 18
July 14th my credit card was charged
Received back via Canada Post August 3rd

So late Wednesday I received an email stating " We have received your application, it is still under review" Honestly....I was getting nervous that I had missed something on it.

I checked my bank account last night, and seen they charged my cc. So that makes it exactly 4 week time period from receiving my application, until it was granted.

Another week or so and I should have it back. My travel agent keeps posting sales on vacations on FB. Hopefully we see one that we want to jump on. This momma wants her winter vacation this year!!!!!
