Passports

I think I know the answer to this but someone put the bug in my ear about passports and flying out of Buffalo..... As Canadains do we now require passports to fly from Buffalo or is it still like last year where show proof (drivers licience / birth cert.) I know the old line should have them anyways and yes i will be getting one but not sure if I plan a quick trip to WDW if going to get on plane.

You only need your driver's license and birth certificate to cross the border. At the Buffalo airport you'll only need to show your driver's license at check-in and security. At the gate you'll only need to show your boarding pass.

Just a thought that you may want to get one anyway. I had a friend fly out of Seattle recently who didn't have one. She needed an emergency flight home and it was a huge hassle to get them to let her fly back here without a passport. I go by the better safe than sorry philosophy.

ya have to send in paperwork to Quebec Goverment lmao: ) to get birth cert. since born way before 1994 ........and then go wait in the grand lines in Hamilton Passport office..... maybe if lucky get them before Sept..... heard Quebec Gov. not to quick at getting B/C's out

Hi Hon

Filled out form online for replacement B.C for son a month ago --paid via credit card and it arrived a week later. We did pay for expidited service I think an extra 30.00 dollars but I wasn't taking any chances.
BIL ---Customs Canada ---says entry into States is still possible with B.C and another form of ID,,,but it is faster and less hassel with a Passport.

We had to send for one as well for DH.... we received it in about 3 weeks, much faster than I thought! We faxed it in, and I was worried the photo ID may not be clear, but I guess it was fine!

When we went in August we only needed Drivers License/Birth Certificate to cross the border but when we were at the airport in Buffalo we had to actually show our passports along with in Orlando on our way back. I would get them just in case since the laws are changing...also my daughter and I received our passports within 3 weeks by going to the passport office and not just mailing them in....
