I read the post on making your own autograph books but does anyone know where to get passports and pressed penny books?

How long does it take to get them when you order them from WDW Merchandise? We leave in 3 weeks and I need to find them soon.

Thanks!

They sell the pressed penny books right at the parks. I believe we purchased ours right on Main St in MK. If you are referring to the Kid's passports in Epcot, they are also available at any of the countries in Epcot.

With only 3 weeks, I would wait. Since you are going to be there you will save TONS in shipping. I ordered a lanyard that I wanted but didn't buy through Disneyland Merchandise and it cost me I believe $8 for s/h and this was before the rate increases.

They will stamp anything, not just the passports. I made books for my kids with a question about each country and Disney clip art. They had those stamped. The books also served as scrapbook, autograph book, activity book, and travel journal. You could have them stamp your autograph book and write your child's name in their language by it, thus saving the $ of a passport and the hassle of another thing to keep tradk of.

Great idea about making one book for both but what did you use...a small notebook with lined paper or did you find a blank one? I guess I am not thinking very creatively at this point. We are rushed...I like to plan these things out months ahead of time but do to some bad timing with some things out of our control we are just now having the time to plan this trip that we leave on in 3 weeks.

I really want to include the book in the kids surprise bags for Disney so I need them before we leave home.

Thanks!

btw...where do you get the Disney clip art, someothers have mentioned it? My guess is you have software from Disney with it. I also know that I once saw a list of all the locations for the pressed penny machines somewhere on-line. If anyone knows where to find it I would be most greatful!

I found unlined notebooks at Big Lots and have also seen them at the dollar store and other discount stores. It is about 5x7 and the same size as the autograph books in the parks. I used a combination of clip art from the web, scrapbook paper and stickers. The kids helped me do these one afternoon a week before our trip and had a great time. For the Epcot countries I found flags on the web and added them to their book. Since I had most of the supplies I only spent a couple of dollars.

Does anyone know how much the pressed penny books cost? It sounds like it might be a fun and relatively inexpensive souvenir. Are these books easy to find around WDW?

Can't tell you for sure about where the books are sold but I am pretty sure they would be readily available through out the parks and resort giftshops.

My DD bought a book at Disneyland 2 years ago and It was about $8 or so.

We paid $6 for our pressed penny book last month. It holds (I beleive) 36 pennies and 6 quarters. Hope this helps.

Yes, we bought one at World of Disney in DD for $6 last Wednesday. My son had a ball looking for penny machines. I had saved my shiny pennies and put them in an empty film canister -- and just threw it in the diaper bag, along with a film canister of quarters. It worked great! We had lots of fun with it! The quarters are so expensive though! $1.25 each -- although at one place we did find one that was just $1.00! We even, by chance, found a pressed quarter of our resort (PO-FQ) while we were waiting for DS's birthday dinner at Chef Mickey's.

Have fun!

I too decorate our photo album, autograph books and planner with clip art off the web...I print it out on the peel and stick sticker paper and then just ...well peel and stick it! :p
I have also printed it out on the magnetic sheets and let the kids play with these on the fridge before we leave and on cookie sheets on the way down.

;)
