I am about to purchase a Passporter for our next Disney Vacation and was wondering if i should get the original or the deluxe edition. Please help! :Pinkbounc :love1: :cool1: :cheer2:

The deluxe edition is a leather-like 5-ring binder with pages that can be replaced annually. Nice if you plan to re-order annually and refill your binder.

The standard edition is a spiral-bound, stand alone book.

Incidentally, just be aware that Passporter went to press back in December and will not have the most up-to-date info on the new Magic Your Way tickets, vacation packages, Extra Magic Hour changes, and other modifications made at the parks since the beginning of 2005. They should have updates on their web site that you can download and print at home (nice if you have the deluxe edition), but I don't know if they are available yet or how comprehensive they might be.

A passporter is a guide book for WDW. Besides the guide book, it has 'pouches' in the back for each day of your trip - invaluable for storing receipts, tickets, maps, etc. Each pouch also had a mini-journal for each day, where you could record your impressions, and document how the day went. It also has some planning worksheets, budget sheets, etc.

I have had both the Deluxe Edition, as well as the Standard Edition. No difference, really, except for the price. So, I think it is a personal decision on how much you want to spend.

As far as how to find one, our local library has older versions (of course, you won't be able to write on the back sheets!), but you could check it out and see if it is worthwhile. If you decide to purchase, you can find them at most major bookstores, as well as Amazon.com, or directly from Passporter, at www.passporter.com.

Their website also has alot of planning tips, reviews, etc.

Hope this information helps.

I really want one of these but the MYW info is extensive. That's a lot to download and add myself from the passporter website. Now I don't know if I should even purchase. But thanks for the info!

The thing that is nice about Passporter is that if you go on their website, they have updates that you can print out to keep your book up to date with the most recent information. Of all of the guidebooks, this is my favorite.

Passporter is great. It has folders to store handouts you may have. I loved mine, and will order another one for our 2006 trip!
