Hi I have done the research and have decided that I do need to purchase the 2005 passporter for WDW and also the field guide for the Cruise as we are doing the Land and Sea.

My question is since I want these to me a momento for my granddaughter, whom we are taking with us - which would be better spiral (not lost pages) vs. Deluxe (worried about pages getting lost over time.

Please give some of your ideas - experiences etc. I would really like to order it in the next day or two - anxious to get planning for July.

Deluxe--

Because you can take out the pages, you would be able to take the pages you need to the parks with you. Just don't lose them!!

When you want to give it to your grandaughter, make sure you've put the pages back in place.

I have to ask, as a momento for your granddaughter, how were you going to use the passporter. This may alter my answer.

Since it is going to be a memento for your granddaughter, I would suggest the spiral instead of the deluxe.

If you were going to be keeping it for yourself and updating it each year, I would have recommended the deluxe. I originally purchased the spiral version and the following year, upgraded to the deluxe version. Since then I have purchased just the inserts. I take the previous years insert, tie string through the holes and put a couple rubber bands around it. That way I can keep everything together, but still have the binder for my new insert.

When we have taken more than one trip in a year, I put all the pockets from each trip in with the insert and it makes a great place to keep all the maps and such from our trips.

That is a great idea for a memento. When you check into your resort, grab a map of each park and put them in the passporter pocket of the day that you visit that park. That way she will have a map that hasn't been used in her passporter. Also any other things that you happen to pickup can also go into the pocket for that day.

The pockets are also a good place to keep receipts.

I plan on using it to plan out the Land portion of our trip - to figure out where and when to go see what. Plus this is probably our only trip with granddaughter -- does that make a difference.
