I will be buying a Passporter soon, and was wondering what does the deluxe have that the spiral doesn't. I know that you can get updates, each year. But we will not be going back for a long time.:( ( We will be setting our sites on paying of our debt and buying a house:D .) So, would the spiral be better for us?

I just ordered my first Passporter after hearing so many great things about it. I ordered the ring binder version. I have seen it at buy.com for $25.16 and free shipping and at Amazon for $27 and free shipping. I make lots of notes about stuff I would like to do on vacation and I save lots of stuff so I though being able to add to the book would come in handy.

I have both. I ordered a spiral from a previous year ( free except for shipping) just to see if I really liked them. I loved it, so I ordered the deluxe.

I'm looking at both of them now. On the deluxe you only have to order refills. You can also add your own things as the other poster said. It's more durable, has a snap closure and pockets on the inside front and back along with small pockets on the inside front where you could put things like credit cards or ID's. If it were me and I wasn't going to return for several years, I'd probably just get the spiral, but I much prefer the deluxe version.

I have like 6 Spirals and 1 Deluxe. I still have not decided which I like better.

I have the deluxe and I love it for all of the reaons posted by peachgirl. I keep all of my confirmations for resort, airlines and transporation in the folders. I think it's very convenient. :D

What is this? Does anyone have a link?

Beauty,
It's a guidebook and you can find information on it at passporter.com

I have only the spiral version not the deluxe......BUT I can say that it is an awesome guide book!!!:) :)

I love it!!!!:) :bounce: :)

I did the same thing, bought a prior year's version that was free except for shipping. I loved it, and when we were planning this year's trip, I bought the deluxe. Now I will just have to buy the refills as well. I used it to hold our trip itinerary, rental car confirmation, PS list, driving directions, etc. It's great!

I bought the spiral the first year. Loved the guide book! Bought the deluxe the next. Refills ever since.

I much prefer the deluxe for all the reasons listed above. I keep all my WDW things in it so I don't misplace anything. I use the small pockets to keep PHP that haven't been used up etc. Then it all travels so easily. All my tickets & info. in one place, easy to pull out as needed.

Well thanks to this thread I just ordered the deluxe!! I can't wait to get it, it sounds awesome!

Good choice Beauty! I too, bought the very first year in spiral, then bought a deluxe when they came out, and have been buying the deluxe refills ever since (except 2002 because I didn't go last year). I am anxiously awaiting my 2003 refill as I type!!!

Just got my email saying my deluxe refill is on the way!!! Now I have something to look forward to. And my special drink strap!!! I love the PassPorter.

I vote the deluxe as well. In addition to the other's comment, by getting the deluxe you can personalize it by moving the sections around if you want. I put all of the worksheets together and then a passpocket with the corresponding map each day. The other plus I have found is that you can pull out what you won't need and leave it at home or in your room to lighten the load instead of carrying it around all day in the parks.

PS: They are coming out with an additional module devoted solely to Disney Cruises. By getting the deluxe you can interchange them and not have to buy another binder.

I purchased Passporter the first year it came out, '99, for our first and only family trip to WDW. I found it very good for organizing all the bits of paper, passes, confirmations, tickets, schedules, etc. I also had purchased every WDW guide available then, about 10 of them or so. The following year I purchsed them all again, the next I think it was Birnbaum and Passporter only, and then just Passporter. I purchased the deluxe the year it came out and the refills and extra pocket sets if I was having multiple trips in a year. My email just came yesterday indicating my '03 refills are on the way.

Jennifer Watson and Dave Marx run a great place there at www.passporter.com and feel their guide, The Passporter is the best out there.

The deluxe is great, but it's big & heavy :( And I'm kind of disorganized & I lost (& then found) some of the pages I took out. It was good for multiple trips, but I actually went back to the spiral this year! I love it! :)

Thanks for the input. I will really have to check into both of these. Can't wait to get whichever one I pick!:Pinkbounc
