While browsing the travel guides in the book store on the ground floor of my office building today - I found a guide called Passporter. Now, knowing this is THE place for Disney experts - I'd like to know who has used it, who is using it, who didn't like it, etc.

Many (read a long time ago!) years ago I planned a month-long vacation in California using a book called California with Kids - it was the best investment I could have made at the time when my kids were young.

I love the Passporter, which you can order on line as well. I usually get the deluxe version which comes in the leather notebooks with a clip for a pen. The reasons that I like it is because it is easy to read and use for reference with wonderful news and information but the notebook style allows you to just buy the new additions without buying a new binder. It also has a planner in the back of the book with pockets that you can insert information, tickets, etc.

I have used several different books but this is my favorite!

Hi, :wave2:
I like the passporter as well. My favorite part is the pocket pages in the back where you can take notes on what you did each day (especially if you want to write a trip report....if I didn't write it down I wouldn't be able to remember it all...lol...). You can also store tickets, receipts, etc in those pages. It is a great resource!

I use the Passporter also. I love how reader friendly it is. I also like the pocket pages in the back.

I love the passporter! It becomes my yearly souveneir! I have recorded, what we ate, what we did and our receipts are all neatly kept! Couldn't do Disney without it!:goodvibes

I also use the Unofficial Guide. BUT First and foremost! The DISBOARDS!:surfweb:

I agree with all the other posters The passporter is a great guide,I found it to easy to use, and with lots of info. They also have a online site. I brought one for my 2006 trip, and wiil buy a 2009 one.

I found the Passporter last year while planning our first family vacation, I fell in love with it! It's so user friendly, has places for all the important info I need to keep track of before/during our trip and places to record stuff from our trip. It's so handy and compact. I've recommended it to a few friends and they love it as well. I just bought our second Passporter for our upcoming December trip and it's been fun filling it out in preporation, plus it's so handy to keep our MVMCP tickets, email record of our airfare and ADR confirmation #'s. I love it!!!:lovestruc

I have the Deluxe Passport and really like it. I have pre-ordered the 2009 refill so waiting on that to come out.

This is the second time I have used the Passporter to plan my Disney vacation and I love it! The pockets, fold out park maps, descriptions of rides, restaurants and resorts, everything! I really love that it is spiral bound so I can lay it flat without losing my spot. The stickers that come with it are great for making tabs on the information that I deem is important. I just grab the tab, open and there it is! Description of Pop? BAM! There it is. Phone # to make ADRs? BAM! There it is. (Can you tell I really like it?:rotfl: )

We love the passporter and find it invaluable for planning. We get a new one every year we take a trip to Disney.
However, I wish their website was easier to navigate. It's a bit cluttered and has too many "extra features" that you need to pay extra to get.

Been using the Passporter for every trip since I happened upon it about 5 trips ago. Like Robin 09 I also use The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.

I also use the Passholder, which could also be ordered online with the Passporter. The Passholder hangs from your neck and I put our tickets, money, fastpasses and credit cards in it. It's wonderful for me because I don't have to worry about losing something when I'm on an attraction i.e. Splash Mountain. I love it because than my hands are free to carrry all those Disney bags ;)

DH will always say to me in the parks "Hey he/she has that book too." It amazes him how many Passporters we see while we are at WDW.

I love the Passporter guide! I purchased it as soon as I started planning our trip. I keep all of our reservations and ADR's as well as important phone numbers in it. I think it works well with the Unofficial Guide. They both are wonderul and helpful tools when planning a Disney trip. And oh yeah, :disrocks:

Discovered the Passporter two years ago and use it every year. It is wonderful as a quick reference quide and their internet spread sheets are wonderful. You can pre-order the 2009 edition and I can't wait until it comes out. You start to feel like a family with them.

Love the Passporter! It's the only book i recommend to friends. I also like UG, but it's more of a reference book.

I've got a Passporter from a few years ago. Lots of good info, easy to use. I once bought UG too. I don't really need either for getting around....but have used both to get a Disney fix...I think UG has more colorful pictures, but the Passporter has more useful info- like how long it takes to get from your resort to MK (at least once you are on the bus, assuming no unusual traffic), how big each resort is, which rides are bad if you have a fear of heights. UG is more about selling you on going to WDW.

Great Info. about the Passporter... I have wondered about purchasing one....and now, I think I will. Thanks for the tip about the pocket in the back and purchasing refills.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for your info! With all the good reviews, I did buy one. I haven't had a chance to look through it yet. :)

You all are great!

Barbara

I like the Passporter for all the reasons everyone said, plus they have great maps.

I ordered mine last week, and it arrived today. I picked it up, brought it home, thought I'd look at it for 5 minutes and then put it down to finish laundry. The laundry hasn't been touched yet. I'm really impressed with this book.
