Passporter Guide - Who Uses, Who Doesn't?

:thumbsup2 Love the Passporter. I used the 2007 edition for our trip last year and I am eagerly awaiting the one for 2009. :hyper:

Love the Passporter. . .have used the 2007 version for two trips now. ..(I write in pencil so I can erase the last trip. . .) and will use it again in August. . .Am eagerly awaiting my copy of the 2009. . .

Passporter is really good. Although I'm probably in the minority in that I bought it once and don't feel the need to keep buying the new version each year. I think once you know Disney pretty well, not much changes year to year that you aren't already on top of. The book is definitely informative and good for a Disney fix.

SO it is called the disny passporter? ANy links with a picture so we know what we are buying? Thanks!

love the passporter...found it for my trip last year and still leaf through it because i put memorabilia in it and wrote about our trip in it as well. got a new one for our trip in october. its a great read, tons of helpful info and pointers!

I absolutely love my passporter!! :cheer2: I carry it with me everywhere when I can't access the DISboards. We are going to The World in November.:woohoo: Gotta order me a refill of pockets.... ;)

Another Passporter lover here! I have several years worth and treasure all of them. I've also bought them for friends and family who have never been to Disney before. They are easy to read, don't overwhelm Disney newbies with too much information, but give good planning advice. Love the color maps too!

I finally got a chance to spend some time reading my new passporter and you are all correct - it is great! I have found that sometimes I had a question after I thought I had gone through the book, only to find the question had been answered and I missed it!

I'm thinking about their cruise book - haven't decided yet.

I happened upon the Passporter today while visiting my local bookstore. Unsure of making the impulse purchase, I decided to check the DIS boards first. Glad to know that many have been impressed with the book. I've also found that it is cheaper to purchase from Amazon (isn't everything?).

Thanks again everyone for the WDW tips.

I was going to post how wonderful the Passporter is and then realized that this is an older thread that I all ready posted in, twice!

We have another trip to Disney World planned for Nov/Dec 2009 and I am once again using my Passporter.

Passporter!

Loved my Passporter!!!

I used it to reacquaint myself with the World on our trip last April. It had been 10 years since my last trip, but for all intents and purposes, it was our first trip.

I don't have a lot of time (had a newborn and 2 year old at the time) so I found being able to pick it up and read, set it down, and pick it up again was a breeze. Everything was digestable yet very thorough. The hotel info, the parks, etc. Granted, I don't put much stock in the itineraries and such... I marked up the book with a highlighter and those little mini post-it tabs with the info I needed to find quickly and everything was a snap.

The other major thing that I liked was the fact that you can browse book updates online. The book goes to press in October (or so...) of the previous year, things change. Once the authors find out about the changes, they make the corrections online to keep the info as accurate as possible. Shoot, I bought ours in January of this year, and by the time I got it, 2 stores I wanted to go to in DTD were closed, but the updates were online for me to see.

I took the book with us and actually used it to help someone who was lost in Epcot during evening EMH! The maps are detailed, yet small enough to fit in the book. The girl was close to where she needed to be, but there weren't signs to where she was going!

The book also helped me narrow down my choices for hotels. I was able to read up on all of the resorts (once we figured out our budget) and decide what was going to work for us. We didn't get in to our first choice, but I'm REALLY glad we ended up where we did. It ended up being the right fit for us.

Best of luck.

I love passporter and it's companion site. Downloaded all the ebooks and when looking for a less overwhelming experience go to their boards but I'm addicted to DIS so that is not often. I would not leave without the Unoffical guide though because they do cover things a bit differently. This last trip in May was our first time back in 15 years and we also used Ridemax and LOVED it. It was so easy, right on target regarding lines (except parade predictions) we rode most things twice and had ave 5min waits :cool1:(this was May). I also found that using my blackberry to hold favorite pages ie official snack page, menues so we could decide while we waited were very helpful too. Planning and anticipation is half the fun so why not go all out?
