In doing my research for our flight for Walt Disney World, I was considering renting a car, instead of DME. However, I found this disclaimer, relating to renting a car with Alamo from the Orlando/Sanford Airport
The last line states that passports are required for all non- US Citizens. Has anyone else encountered this? That could be a real hassle for a Canadian who drove down, and then had their car break down/accident/stolen -- can't get a rental unless you brought your passport.
Drivers must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the rental. Drivers age 21-25 will be charged an additional $25 per day at the time of pick up.
All rentals require a clean driving record. A major credit card and a valid driver's license in the name of the renter will be required at the time of rental. Debit and check cards, considered to be any non-credit card bearing the Visa or MasterCard logo (except for gift/prepaid cards) may only be used in conjunction with proof of round trip ticket (airline, cruise ship and the like). A passport is required for all non-U.S. citizens.
