It's me again...Let's talk about passport stamps. My 7 and 8 year old just got their passports in today (we used birth certs last cruise) and we are doing the Eastern Carib in May. Is there anywhere I can take their passports to get them stamped at any of the ports? Might be a weird question, but these girls are crazy obsessed with getting the first stamp in their "travel book". :earboy2:

Most ports you have to search out where to obtain passport stamps. We've never done it. But I'm sure that others will be able to chime in where to go. I do know in one port (sorry can't recall which one) the route to getting the passport stamp is guarded by heavily armed soldiers, so be prepared.

For Castaway Cay, ask the front desk the afternoon or night beforehand (I would suggest before dinner). If they are nice, they will speak with one of the Officers. The Officer will usually tell you to be at a certain spot on the ship early in the morning. There, the Customs Agent from the Bahamas will come aboard to handle paperwork. Sometimes, the Agent will have a stamp with him/her and will stamp your passport. Only one person from the party need have all of the passports for them to be stamped. At the spot, you'll usually wait until they've concluded their business. The Disney Officer will then ask on your behalf and motion for you to come over and hand over the passports if the Customs Agent agrees to stamp the passports. We've done 2 cruises and both times the Customs Agent had the stamp. Just be respectful and nice as everyone (Disney Officer and Customs Agent) would merely be doing it as a favor. :)

gotta know where you're going before we can tell you where to go. (I get "eastern" but that doesn't give all needed info)

I know for Nassau and for Grand Cayman.

Just for FYIs....I know this does not apply to the OP...there is NO WAY to get your passport stamped in Cartagena, Columbia for the Panama Canal Cruises. I contacted the port directly and they said not place to do it. I contacted the airport...nope. I asked our tour guide, nope. I asked on board...nope. Every blog post and trip report had the same info.

You CAN get a Panama Canal stamp in your book during the transit when a Customs person is aboard. We never tried to get the Mexican stamps.
