We are due to go to dlp in December and mum has just realised that her passport expires in January. We are travelling by Eurostar, has anybody ever experienced a problem with not having 3 months validity on their passport? I know with France that its usually ok as long as your duration is covered but they do usually like a bit longer. Has anybody had problems?

Thanks xx

I've never had experience of this but could your mum not renew her passport? They will add up to 9 months to the renewal so she won't lose out on any remaining time

if its a UK passport, no-one will bat an eye, or ask any questions, as long as its valid for the duration of your trip to France, don't worry :).

Our daughter had 2 weeks left last time. Its fine as long as valid for return. Same applies to ANY EU country

If travelling outside the EU, to USA for example, then minimum of i think 3 or 6 months is needed on passport.

No worries with France though.

most of the US is also just duration of stay required for a UK passport-holder.

Thanks guys,
I have told her all if this but she is such a worrier she didn't believe me she wanted me to check anyway.... Mother!!! :rotfl:

I have told her to ease her mind just to renew it then its done. i can see her driving me insane until December if she doesn't :rotfl2:
