Can you bring your own or make your own passports to use in the world showcase for kids?

Or will they stamp an autograph book?

Yes. I used a wonderful design I found here on the Creative DIS board to make our kids passports. It was one of the highlights of the trip for them.

Yes they will stamp autograph books too. We also have the CM's write a message in their language in the book for the kids. They were more than happy to and most did it without asking. The girls in Japan were lovely they even taught my DD a few phrases in Japanese which she practiced the rest of the trip.

I have done the same, courtesy of our lovely DISigners. The CMs will sign or stamp your own books, postcards, journals, or whatever you bring. Just keep in mind that the ink from the stamps may not adhere to a shiny or glossy surface. The same goes for fabric, so in this case, keeping it on some form of paper is probably the safest option.
