Passholder renting points is DDP possible?

Ok so I am tryiing to decide whether or not to purchase passes for hubby and I (we had 'em last year) we are taking his parents on a 5 day trip, and the 5 day hopper is only $20 less than the seasonal pass, so it would be silly to get the hopper instead of seasonal passes, so...the question is IF I were a passholder and rented points for stay would getting the DDP be possible??

Yes, the DVC owner from whom you rent needs to link the DDP into your reservation with Member Services. You pay for the DDP when you check-in. The DVC Version of the DDP does not require a specific type of park ticket. The DDP is a separate add-on.

It doesn't matter what kind of tickets you get if you are renting points- the DDP is not tied to points in any way. You will not get a discount on it (free dining, ect) if you rent points.

That is awesome news! I know you can't get any discounts, but was just hoping that I would be able to rent points and get DDP even if I have a season pass...and I can! which rocks!!!
