Passholder Pins?

I read someone reference a "passholder pin" in another thread.

What's the deal with these? We have APs this year for the first time, and haven't heard anything about them.

Disney has special limited edition pins for annual pass holders and DVC members. They are usually displayed at the register. We got some for the opening day of Soarin'. They were only letting AP holders ride when we were there in April.

I got my pins at pin central in Epcot. I don't think every location carries the passholder pins just certain ones in each park.

In case you want to know what they have, as of two weeks ago, at Pin Central in Epcot they had two Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival pins and an Epcot pin with Goofy as an astronaut. At Disney's Pin Traders in DTD, they only had the Epcot pin with Goofy.

I got the Flower and Garden Festival one. Do they have one for the Food and Wine Festival?
We also got the one where Mickey is twirling the golden mickey key and the shaker from MK with Stitch. I think we got that one in the pin shop in frontier land.

They usually let AP holders know about the passholder pins in each edition of the Mickey Monitor. I've never purchased one, I'm not much of a "pin person", but I've seen them around the parks quite often.

I'm a big pin person, and I find that a lot of places do sell DVC and Passholder pins, you just have to ask at the desk.

Some places you have to ask ... I know the pin cart at WL had passholder and DVC pins but they were in the drawer. She gladly showed me everything the minute I asked.

You can find passholder pins at Pintraders in downtown disney, the pincart at mercantile in AK, the jewlery store on mainstreet in MK and Pin Central in EPCOT.

Any of the special ride or attraction passholder pins are usually released at a store close to the attraction.
