Rumor over at MousePlanet.com :

"…We are now hearing an unconfirmed rumor that the Annual Passholder lounges may reappear this fall"

Anyone else have more info on this?

I don't have any information on this rumor, but I sure hope it's true! The AP lounge in Epcot rocked!!

I hope it's true also.
They closed the one at EPCOT 2 weeks before our last visit:(
Hopefully they will restore some of the "special" privleges that used to be part of the AP Magic:D

When we took the behind the scenes tour of Epcot FW in May, the CM said that they were planning to have an AP lounge in July and August. Well you all know how true that was.

After all these years of having an AP, I'd like to finally get to visit one of these lounges!

I agree, the lounge in The Land was awesome. We were able to visit the one they had in the AK the first year they offered something like this. We liked that one, too. Last year's AK lounge was too closed off and too warm to enjoy. I hope they bring this idea back!

Yes please bring back the AP lounges. The one at the Land was a great spot to relax and see the characters.

We like the one in the land. However for us the draw was the free soda, and you can still get that at Ice Station Cool:cool: We were disappointed with the one in AK. They only gave you water. When I asked about soda I was told they only provide water because AK has so little shade and they dont want you to dehydrate:rolleyes: yeah right:rolleyes: Games were fun though, apart from we couldnt get the kids to leave.

The one in Epcot was nice but the one in AK was a joke. Why they even bothered I never know.

Yea and they were so worried about it that they did not even have the AK lounge air-conditioned.

What are AP lounges? I realize they are a place to take a break right? But I mean what is in there? We are getting AP'S for the first time in November, so I just wanted to find out about the AP Lounges.
Thanks,

I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP

I only saw the AK AP lounge and did not think it was a big deal. I concluded that AP lounges was not so much to give passholders a perk but rather to use as advertising to get people to buy AP's.

I was fortunate enough to attend a passholder event (Osborne Lights at MGM), but for the most part, only those whose time schedule permits attending on that day can benefit.

If I needed to relax, I would rather find some place close by as opposed to walk all the way over to an AP lounge.

Put too many nice things into an AP lounge and people who can't spend so many days at WDW will start complaining about being shut out.

Now on my third premium AP.

The AP lounge in the Land was awesome. It was the nestle corporate lounge place. I was in the land not that long ago and wished I could go up there and have a cold coke, sit down and relax and catch the football scores. That place was cool. The AK one was pretty lame. There are a ton of empty places in EPCOT - the lounge at living seas, the whole place where pasta piazza used to be, they could have space for one very easily. Also in the Epcot one I enjoyed meeting other AP holders. They were fun to talk to :p

Yes you could get spoiled by relaxing at the Land Lounge. Do you remember the original AP lounge at FT BBQ AK? It was just one of the small covered open air seating areas. The AK lounges paled in comparison to the Land. However, we do miss the perk of early seating time for The Lion King. Wonder if they will have an AP "pumpkin patch" before MNSSHP this year ?

Madcoco, I remember that lounge! We thought it was very nice. While it was outside in that pavillion, it was cool and it was very comfortable. They had a pin book there for trading pins. The CM gave us fast passes for Dinosaur (not sure it was called Dinosaur then) ;) and she even made a PS for us for Cindy's for later that afternoon! :)
