Actually, I think they are missing out on a good amount of business by neglecting the West Coast. There are one million plus
Disneyland passholders here, which I believe is quite a bit more than FL APs. And I think many of the CA APs may be balking at the idea (meaning cost) of flying to FL for a cruise, but might consider it if they were "shown the love" in the way of AP discounts (especially since no resident discounts apply here either).
But given that
DCL had a ship here for two years and never once advertised it to the West coast (and then wondered why they couldn't fill the ship), it doesn't surprise me. There should have at least been signs up all over Disneyland when the Wonder was here...advertising those cruises. But what did we see? The Dream out of FL. Not a single sign, email, AP newsletter article about the Wonder being on the West Coast.
I think they are just doing the same old, same old that worked for two ships, but it doesn't work for four. They need to step up their game in the New Business Department
