Passed ROFR Today!!

So, first and foremost i want to thank the members on this board who pointed me in the resale direction after i purchased 160pts at the GF on our latest trip in May...

After careful consideration (and with advice and insight from you guys) i cancelled that contract with DVC and put in an offer on BWV.. I also want to say that i was surprised that even though we expressed an interest in purchasing BWV from DVC direct, we were advised by our rep that we wouldn't be able to buy them? Yet i hear about people going on a "wait list" for the older sold out resorts? quite confusing?

Due to the fact that "we"cancelled our $27k contract, we were reluctant to post that we put an offer in on a BWV 210pt contract for fear of reprisal (as if they would ?? paranoid much lol)

But, never the less the LONG wait period is now over 29 days we received our notice!!

Now we can join our family who have owned at the BWV since it opened!! (and only have 150pts) we figured if we could all have the same home resort we could borrow and "scheme" lol

---$79 (orig list of $82) - $16,590-210-BWV - Mar- 210/'14, 210/'15 sent 05/20, passed 06/19

So excited! can't wait to book our first trip as DVC owners

We purchased resale in 420 SSR points in 2009 and saved thousands.
Been to BWVs, BLT, SSR a few times and have 8 nights at VGF booked for September!

Congrats and welcome home! We had the same answer from our guide. When we bought in 2008 we asked to buy at BCV and were told that it was sold out. I didn't know much about the resale market so we bought from DVC direct at AKV. I don't regret the decision because at the time it was what we felt comfortable with and the price wasn't as high then as it is now for direct. Last year we decided to add on and bought 100 points resale at BWV. Stayed there for the first time in March and love it! Next trip we are staying at BCV in December.
