So we passed ROFR, and know that documents are forth coming and we have to get a large cashiers check. We know it takes awhile (30 days+/-) for it gets into the Disney system. So after that what happens? Do we receive a welcome package and get assigned a guide? Is there anything different that happens to those in a resale?

Thanks for any guidance here.

We submitted March 4th, for 350 points at BWV. We heard back on the 24th and are awaiting the closing papers now. We received all of 2009 ( hopefully we will figure out a use for them) and then all of 2010, 2011 points with an August use year.

We were surprised we heard back so fast, but extremely pleased to move this along.

Congratulations:banana: Welcome Home. We just passed on the 24th at OKW, Our second home. AK is our first home. Just set back, enjoy, and spend your money.:cool1:You can't take it we you.:rotfl2:

You will receive a Guide and eventually your membership cards but that's about it. Disney doesn't provide people who buy resale the same "welcome" info as those who buy direct.

Once you have been notified that your contract has closed, about 10 to 15 days later, you'll have to call member services and have them help you login to your online account. There's not a ton you can do online, but you can see your point history, and there are a few features. You will also have a member ID, which you'll have to provide every tme you call into member services. If you already have an online account with Disney.com, that will be your login, but they will have your password for you to get in, and then you'll reset it to one you choose. Other than that, I don't recall anything else.

We had purchased direct, and they send a box with contract info terms and agreements, etc., but nothing that I would say you're truly missing by purchasing resale. I would gladly pass up on a token DVC tote, hat or something like that some people get with their box for the resale savings.

Congrats on your purchase, and party: WELCOME HOME!!! party:

It seems like start to finish, the process is about 60 days from submtting to Disney for ROFR to points ready to use. The first 21-30 days are ROFR. The next 5-14 days are waiting for and submitting closing paperwork and the last 7-14 days are waiting for the contract to get loaded at Disney.

Maybe 40-45 on the short side if everything is timed perfectly in ROFR is taking 18-21 days, which is true for some.

So, having just passed ROFR, I'd say you have another approximately 3 weeks until points are ready to use.

1 week into ROFR here, so we still have another 40-45 days to go.

One you close, I would give MS a call about 5 - 7 days later to see if you are in the system. You may be, even if the points are not quite there.

At least you can get your member # and the information necessary to sign up for the website.

Then, you can monitor the website daily to see when the points are loaded in. Once that happens, you can call and try to book your reservations.

Good luck!

I was 51 days from offer being accepted by the seller to points being available to book a stay.
