Can you post the specifics, please? (UY, price, banked or borrowed, closing costs, etc.) I'm thinking about a 100 pt addon at BCV and I'm curious what they are going for. Thanks.
BCV 100 point resale, March use year, only 9 points available for 2004 but we won't be able to travel until next year anyway.
We paid $73/point which may be on the high side but we knew the BCV were harder to find and didn't want to worry about ROFR.
We pay $400 closing costs as well.
We were confident ROFR wouldn't be a problem but didn't expect it to only take 5 days.
I dunno, looks to me like goldilocks got the better deal. With the MB program@$10 a pt off, you could get it for $74 a pt without this years' points, and no closing costs; but would it be available? perhaps not.
JKKW, I think you were right to jump on this since BCV pts are sooooo hard to come by direct thru DVC. Hey, and a transaction that results in a satisfied buyer and happy seller is a good deal for all concerned.
May I ask who you went thru for your resale? We are also waiting to hear on our BCV. We went thru the TimeshareStore. They said they sent our paperwork to Disney last Monday.
We went through DVC by Resale simply because they had a BCV available first.
In speaking with both DVC by Resale and the Time Share Store I did notice that DVC by Resale stated they close their resales in 6 weeks after an accepted offer while the Time Share Store stated their resales close in 8 weeks.
We also went with DVC by Resale, and they seem to keep things moving along very quickly. Our offer went in on Jan, 30, ROFR went through in 11 days, and we're just waiting for the closing docs to be recorded and for our names to get into the Dis system.
Anyway, congratulations on your purchase and the brief ROFR period! And welcome home.
