Passed ROFR -- at SSR!!!!!

Congratulations!

I'm sure they must have had a good reason to sell their points but their loss is your gain!

Enjoy and welcome home!

Apparently, the sellers originally had something like 900 points, had purchased an additional 400 points at SSR, and then decided that there was no way they were going to use that many points. So, they sold 200 of their SSR points.

Maybe they just have a DVC addiction??

Anyway, yes, their loss is our gain!!

Kim,

Congratulations. Did your $80.50 price include the 2004 MF's? If so, then that is really a great price. I paid $90 through Disney in June... but I would have gladly purchased resale if I thought a SSR resale market was developing so quickly.

Jim,

No, that price did not include Maintenance fees. Despite this fact, I think we still got a good deal -- particularly since the fees have to be paid to DVC, regardless of the incentive. I mean, even if you take them up on the Magical Beginnings opportunity, you still have to pay the maintenance fees... which kind of defeats the purpose of that incentive, if you think about it.

Of course, if they'd offered the Developer's incentive-thingy they're offering now at the time we toured, we might have gone for that. But, we're happy with what we have.

No, we just gotta add 70 more points, which we'll purchase directly from DVC.

Kim,

I agree that you got a good price. When you factor in the first year MFs (I only have to pay about 1/4 of 2004)... then your points are still $7 cheaper than mine.
