I've been thinking about using one of these on the next trip. Are they worth it? or is it just as easy to keep the passes/ID in your wallet or other safe place. Also, where can I get a WDW one? I've checked ebay but when you type in lanyard all you get are CM pins and when you type in Pass holder are you get is just that..no lanyards included. Is there a special wording to find them or is there a webstore where they are available (for shipping to Canada?)
Thanks for your help guys! :thanks:

I got mine at Wal-Mart. It was over in the section w/ costume jewelry, watches. It was with the key chains. I think it was about $1.

I too have wondered about those. Weve always kept ours in the little envelope and in a wallet or fanny pack without any problems. However, Ive read on here about them being demagnetized if they are near your cell phone or credit cards. Plus having to dig them out every time you need to use them can be a pain. The only worry I have with a lanyard is losing them. I also read on here that should photo copy or jot down the numbers on the tickets in case you do lose them. Then you can report it and get them replaced (am I right about this)????

When we purchased tickets from TicketMania, they came with a photocopy of the backs of all park tickets (WDW, Sea World and KSC). If you lose a ticket, if you have a photocopy of the number you should be able to get the old ticket deactivated and a new one issued.

As for losing a lanyard, I would be very surprised. I've worked at places that require you to wear a badge, and there were two common ways to do it - a lanyard around the neck and a clip at the belt that has a retractable string. I used both. Even if you're used to wearing a lanyard, you'll notice if you lose it.

Honestly, I've used the retractable "fastpass holders" they sell at WDW for my badges and passes more often than not. However, I'm kinda wary of letting my passes hang out for everyone to see so I usually tuck it into my pocket.

As for plain lanyards, I found a huge bin of them at Ikea for $.95 each. I bought two. They have a clip on them as well as a little bit of tyvek that I attached to my digital camera. It's wide enough for pins, *and* far cheaper than the camera neck straps I was looking at. It does have buckles for safety (2) so I worry about the camera (or lanyard) falling off, but so far it seems to be working very well.

Mur!

I put my AP, Drivers License & Credit Card -- and my room key if I am staying on property -- all in my holder on my lanyard. I have never lost it (not saying that it wouldn't happen)....and when I go to ride a ride I just tuck the whole thing into my blouse/shirt. Very convenient.

I bought a lanyard with the attached holder at Office Depot. I was worried about tickets and room cards falling out, too, but Office Depot has one that has a zipper to close the section for holding your stuff. The other side of the holder thingie has a clear, slide-in section for other things. I think that it was either $3 or $6.

We have used the PassPorter Pouch for many trips and love it. DH always wears it and it works for all cards and cash we need to bring. Our actual Passports fit into it as well.

May I caution you folks using the passholder/protectors. If you put your credit card or even your room key in with you park pass there is a chance of demagnitizing. I did this with my annual pass just last week and had to be reissued a new one. If you have multiple card with the black strips, never put them back to back. I got plastic sleeves from my bank to keep credit card away from pass. Just a quick tip.

ooh! I like those :thumbsup2
They look very durable...still I was hoping for a Disney themed one but I bet I could sticker that bad boy up!
Thanks everyone again for your input! :cheer2:
They are VERY durable....and water resistant. I've used a pink one for years now.

 Why are the Disney tickets so suspectible to the other cards (credit, ATM, etc) in your wallet? I don't think that I have had a card demagnetize in my wallet in 20 years.
