Pass Down Mini Christmas Tree?

Hi All, We are headed to BWV for Dec. 3-12. We are setting up a small (24") tabletop Christmas tree for our stay. We aren't going to have room to take it home and wondered if anyone who will be there starting on the 12th would like to have it for their room. I seem to remember in past years there were threads about passing down decorations etc. Not sure if with Covid there would be anyone interested?

I participated in one of those passdowns...it was a lot of work for the coordinators I think. It worked out well for us. My daughter participates in a Facebook group something about DVC leftovers where people will post about leftover unopened food or leftover detergent and will place it somewhere. We’ve left things in the laundry room with a note that says “free”. So that is another route to go if you don’t get takers here.
Have a great stay. We love seeing poinsettias outside...a real treat!

This is such a nice idea and kind offer! We would love to have the small Christmas tree for our stay at BWV, but we won't be arriving until Dec. 19th. Do you think that the resort would hold it somewhere for us until we arrive? Or maybe another DISer will post who is staying at BWV from Dec. 12-19. We will be there until Dec. 24 and would be happy to pass it on to a fellow DISer who would like to bring it to their villa on Christmas Eve!

We are staying at Boulder Ridge Villas from Dec 16-26. We will have a tree for anyone staying there that would want it On the 26,th

I don't know if they would hold it but I can try to leave with Bell Services maybe?

I suspect the resort would not be willing to hold it somewhere. They just stopped dealing w/ refrigerated groceries because of the logistics & extra burden on bell services, reports are waits for bell services are increasing due to labor constraints, thus I doubt that any resort wants to encourage or facilitate a Christmas tree exchange via Bell Services at the moment - lovely as that thought is.
Maybe coordinating to leave the item in a place such as the laundry room where the resort’s only extra labor is tossing it if the next in line doesn’t claim it would work.
I seem to remember Christmas tree exchanges in years gone by & also the YC/BC pool noodle exchange which lasted a long time before the resort shut it down as too much of a hassle for them.

I check in to the BWV on the 24th, so if you get the tree, we‘d happily get it from you - we’re already down there on a split stay from the BCV, so I can get there any time!

We ended up sending it home with our sisters-in-law since there was no way to keep it until another person could pick up.
