Party Q: If you're already in the park

when it's time for party ticket holders to enter, can you pick up your party stuff (bracelet, map, goody bag) and then go back to your hotel?

We will be in the park and have reservations at Cafe Orleans at 4:30 this Friday. Skiingfast said that there is a station at the Plaza Garden stage where they will hand out party things to those already in the park. I'm not sure what time they set that up. We would like to avoid the lines at the gate but we don't want to bring our costumes with us and change in the bathroom, either. We're staying onsite so we were hoping to be able to eat, get our bracelets and then go back to the hotel to change into our costumes.

Is this possible, and if so, about what time would we be able to get our bracelets?

What time were you thinking of coming back into the park? I went to the first party (9/30) and everyone with a ticket had to exit the park and re-enter via the special event turnstiles. We probably did this around 5:30 or so and there wasn't much of a line. It only took a few minutes. My guess is that if you're going to re-enter right at 4 pm (or 3 pm) when the gates "open" it will be busy, but if you wait an hour or so, it wouldn't be to bad.

On Monday (10/3), the partybgoers were allowed in at 3 pm. I saw the signs for the Plaza Garden up by 3:30 when I walked by.

Thanks. I guess I don't really understand the system. If you get your stuff at the Plaza stage, do you still have to exit and re-enter through the turnstiles? We are going on a day when you can return at 4, so we were going to eat our dinner at Cafe Orleans at 4:30, get our bracelets etc from Plaza stage, and then go back to the hotel and change. I imagine we'd be coming back around 6 PM. The party starts at 7.

Maybe I should go back to my original idea of eating dinner at 5 at Storyteller's and going to the party afterward? I don't need to be in the parks early for the party but I'd like to avoid long lines to get in.

Sorry, I did not mean to confuse you. On 9/30, the only way to get the wristlet and bag were up at the entrance turnstiles; the Plaza hadn't been set up. So we had to exit and re-enter the park.

I would guess that you can get your items at the Plaza, exit the park and then re-enter using your normal ticket. What I was trying to say was that the line to enter the park using the party ticket wasn't really that bad after the first flush of guests trying to enter at 4 pm was over. There might be another rush around 7 pm, but if you're trying to enter around 6 pm, then I would think the lines shouldn't be to bad.

If you want to eat at Cafe Orleans, I would go ahead and do that. Then you can either go to the Plaza and get your stuff or wait.

I have a question and I am sure the answer is in the many pages of this thread, but I figure I will just ask. I helped a friend plan her trip to DLR for this week and I just want to make sure I did something right.

They are attending the halloween party this Friday night and overall, they will be at the park three days. The mentioned they might not be going to the park until late on Friday, so I told them just get a 2-day ticket for the other two days (Thurs and Sat) and use their party ticket to enter at 3:00 on Friday. I called just to be sure that they don't need a regular park ticket in addition to the halloween party ticket and a CM confirmed, but you never know.

Can anyone confirm? I would hate for them to be told at the gate that they will need to purchase another day or upgrade...

Because it's a Friday they can enter at 4pm(not 3pm since the party starts at 7pm on Fridays)., with thier party ticket. No other admission is needed.

You might also mention all party guest enter the gates on the right side, since you're helping them plan.

You can use the party ticket to enter the park at 3 pm (if the party starts at 6 pm) or 4 pm (if the party starts at 7 pm). You do not need a regular park ticket in addition to the party ticket to enter. If you want to enter the park before 3 pm/4 pm, then you will need a regular park ticket.

This is exactly what we did last year. We didn't enter the park until 4pm (it's 4pm for the Friday parties) on our first day since we arrived after 12:00pm that day. We only used our Halloween party tickets that day.
