Party parking not free?

Sorry if this is posted somewhere. We were just charged for parking and this is the first time we have ever been charged for party parking after showing the ticket. We were here for the Halloween one and didn't pay. I was curious as to when this changed?

It didn't change, parking isn't supposed to be included with the party ticket. You seem to have lucked out up to now.

Parking is not free for any of the parties.
BUT, on certain days at a certain time in the afternoon/evening, they will stop staffing the parking lot gates and anyone can then park without paying.

At what time that may happen on any given day can vary.
And, sometimes when that time is near, the parking gate CM might just wave you through.
No rhyme or reason... just the luck of timing.

Theme park free parking is for Disney resort guests, and for holders of certain ticket passes such as the regular Annual Pass, the Premium Annual Pass, and the Disney Premier Pass.

Pass holders do not get free parking during the after hours special events (MNSSHP & MVMCP) if they arrive after regular park closing (7 pm).
