We will be visiting the first week of October with a party of 9. Will we experience any problems at any of disney TS or character meals with a party of 9?

Not sure what your question is...what kind of problem?

As long as you make ADRs, you should be fine for all TS meals.

The only thing i can think of is that at some restaurants you MAY be seated at two separate (usually adjoining) tables.

Try to book early. I had a party of 6 and 7 for 2 different ressies in May and had NP.

As long as you book early, you should be fine but be aware that lots of restaurants do not have tables big enough to seat a party of nine so they will split you up. We have done this and it's been fine - the two tables were really close to each other and it worked out well.

This is a good question.

I have ADRs for 50s Prime Time Cafe for 9 (after 8pm)
and San Angel Inn for 8 (for lunch).

Should we show up extra early, or is 15 minutes ahead still ok?

Oh yea I would show up a few min early maybe that would help..I have gone to WDW three times with parties of 7 & 8 and we never had any problems, would have to split up in places like Sci Fi but other than that most places they just pulled a table together for us..

Just back with a party of 12. We has quite a few ADRs and had no problems at all.

Good question, OP!
Anyone have experience with a party of 9 at the following? Were you all seated at one table or two? just curious!;)

CRT-dinner 5:30 pm
WCC-dinner 5:10 pm
CP-breakfast 8:05 am
LeCellier-dinner 4:20 pm
'Ohanas-dinner 7 pm
Chef Mickey's-breakfast 9:10 am

Did you book Teppanyaki? I know that they are very very strict with their rule of only 8 to a table.

We had a party of 9 last september and ate at CRT twice. Both times we were put at 2 separate tables and one time we even had 2 different servers. It was a bummer, since I was celebrating my big 50 and it would've been nice if we were all at the same table. Yes we made the ADR on the first day available to make ADRs and yes they knew it was my birthday as we ordered a cake (which they gave away and had to find another cake to give me--but wasn't chocolate like hubby ordered). Other than 2 tables at CRT twice, we were also at 2 separate tables at the Plaza. At the 50sPT, Kona, Concourse, WCC, we all had the same table. Keep in mind that I made my ADRs on the first day because the larger group tables go quickly.

For the OP, I recently made my ADRs for late October for a party of 6 and it was hard finding a seating for that party size. I got one of the last LeCellier ADRs and asked for any day for the entire week (Oct. 21-27). Called last week for the Plaza and was told we would be split up into 2 tables. So if you plan to go in October, you need to make those ADRs right away. However, if you're a party of 2, you won't have much of a problem, as I made some of those ADRs for late October and the availability was wide open.

Our family normally travels together and book ressies for at least one sit down meal together each day. We've never had problems making reservations for 48 people. Now, of course all 48 of us can't sit at one table together, but Disney does bend over backwards in trying to get all the tables as close together as possible. We've never been spaced far away from each other.

Ressies for 48 people?! WOW! :faint: That's cool!

I just made ADR's for 9 on our upcoming trip in December at 180 days out. We got all the places and times we requested: however, had to get split tables at Le Cellier, San Angel Inn, and Brown Derby. Le Cellier due to popularity but San Angel and Brown Derby because that was the maximum table size. I am thinking of changing, but do not have any ideas of replacments since we are already doing Cape May, O'Hana's, Biergarten, and Boma.

Oh Well.

I've been with a party of 12 and it was no problem. Just keep in mind for character meals they often cannot move tables together because the characters may not be able to manuver well.

We had 8 over Easter week. Most of our ressies were for two tables (not Teppanaki or Biergarten; those tables seat 8), but we ended up sitting together or right next to each other at every single meal. If you're flexible about having two tables and are again flexible about waiting a couple of extra minutes for two to open up together, you should be fine.

Yep! It sure is! We always get pics taken together prior to sitting down to eat. You should see some of the looks we get! LOL And 48 people isn't the whole family either. Unfortunately some family members weren't able to attend.

1) More than 8-people require two or more tables.
2) Frequently 6-8 require two tables.
3) Close proximity of tables IS NOT GUARANTEED.
4) Sometimes they try, but not always.
