Party of 7 at dinner

To make sure, you can call DCL and request a private table for the group. Make sure your reservations are linked before making the request.

I think I saw this exact same question asked sometime last year and there were anecdotal reports of solo travelers getting seated with parties of 7 to fill an 8-person table. But as Marc noted, you can (and should, if you want one) request a private table by calling DCL.

I don’t think we have reservations to link? We are two rooms but one family. They both show up in the app. With 5 kids I think we’d scare off the random solo cruiser 😂

Trust me. We don’t want to be dumped at a table either and usually request our own table to avoid being “that random solo cruiser” or deal with the “Oh poor thing. No friends wanted to come?” fake pity.

Each room is it's own reservation. Just give DCL a call to make sure they're linked.

That's a pretty funny situation if it ever happened. We've got 5 kids for a total of 7 and didn't have a solo traveler at our table. I think you're pretty safe.

Just waiting for August when it's just my wife and I. We might get put in with a family with 4 kids! :)

It's actually jealousy. But they won't admit it. :D

DH and I have done four Disney cruises as a couple (two others with extended family). When we cruised as a couple we've always been seated with other adult couples.

Same here. Most times at an 8 top (3 other couples), but a couple of time at a 4 top with one other couple.

I'm just saying, the story I heard about on these boards sounded dreadful! They said the solo cruiser seated with their party of 7 was really weird and kept making strange comments and I think they even said that person started touching one of their children on the back. Highly unlikely for anything to happen, but I would say request your own table!

On the other hand, we never request our own table and love meeting new people. So I make this recommendation only because OP did say they wanted to have their own table.

My wife and I are Platinum and for most of our cruises it is just the two of us. We do not make any requests for having our own tables, but my wife was disappointed that on our last several cruises we did not have anyone else assigned to our table. In the past we have met some wonderful people that we dined with, and continue to be friends with some.

We were a party of seven last time and were seated together without anyone else.

There are 7 of us. Will we likely be seated by ourselves at dinner?

I would think you would be seated by yourselves. When my family went on a cruise in 2007, there was eight of us and we had our own table.

On another cruise, we vacationed with family friends. There were six of us and we had a table to ourselves. We requested to have our own table.

You can always request to have your own. table if you are concerned, but I would think it is safe to say you will have your own table. Enjoy your cruise!

What about a family of 5 across 2 rooms? We've said we want to sit together and I requested on our own, but still... I wonder.
