Hi everyone!
For the first time ever we are taking a whole family vacation to WDW! So, since I have been a number of times, I have been designated by the family as the Disney Travel Agent/Tour Guide
I booked us all online for the Free Dining promotion for 12/11-12/15.
First, I booked a room for us 4 girls (myself, my DD, my sister, and our elderly, disabled mom) and chose the option of "King Bed, Double Bed, roll in shower" that is listed when you book online.
Then, under another reservation did the same for the 3 guys (my brother, his 20yo DS with Cerebral Palsy, and our other brother) - also with the "King Bed, Double Bed, Roll in Shower"
Now...my questions:
- Does anyone know how many rooms of this type POP has with Roll In showers?
- Is there any chance that we will get to check-in only to find out this room type is no longer available or they are all taken?
We are not really concerned with being close together....it is OK if the girls are in the 80's and the guys are in the 50's, LOL! My only concern is that we get a roll in shower in each room. Seems that quite a while back I read a horror story of someone being turned away due to no handicap availablity even though they booked it online and the fear is getting the better of me now that the trip is only 7 weeks away. I really want it to be as smooth as possible since my brothers haven't been since 1972 and my nephew has never been.
Also:
- Do I need to call Disney beforehand (either now or day before trip) to ensure that they will be available as I booked them? If so, do I call reservations or POP directly?
I just don't know how we would manage without roll in showers for my mom and my nephew as they both need assistance in the shower and in the bathroom in general...
