I am having trouble at a couple of restaurants getting a table for 6 of us. They have put us at two tables for a party of 4 and 2 at both Garden Grill and 50's Primetime. They said they would try to put us together if at all possible. What are our chances of eating together? I want to eat at both of these restaurants, but want to sit with my family. Has anyone else had these issues and how were they resolved? Thanks for all your help.

We were told the same thing for Boma last year, and it wasn't an issue at all. They didn't even try or suggest seating us seperately when we got there.
Same thing for our ADR at Cape May Cafe.

I would bet that it will work out just fine :goodvibes

Don't worry about it. True tables for six are not the norm in any restaurant. Most times, two tables will need to be pushed together anyway (think of TGI Friday's or Chili's). Disney tells you it's not guaranteed just in case something unusual happens and you can't get seated right next to each other (like the table for two is empty but the table for four next to it they had slotted for you decided they wanted to stay for another hour and chat). You'll be fine.

For the past two years, my family, my sisters family, and my parents have gone to Disney together for a total of 8 of us. Every reservation I made they told us we would be at different tables. This past May, they even said we would be at 3 tables - a table of 4 and 2 tables of 2, and they couldn't guarantee we would even be seated close together. At every one of these places (except the Sci Fi Diner), we were seated together. I didn't ask either. They just put us together. So I wouldn't worry about it. They will try to seat you together.

We ate at 50's in June08, party of 10, I was told we would have 2 tables at time of making ADR, we were all seated at one table, the restaurants really try their best, I find if your dinner ADRs are early, (like most of ours were at 4:30 or 5) its easier, also arrive a little early for your ADR. Good luck and most of all have a MAGICAL TIME!

Thanks so much. I feel much better now. I think things will work out. We leave Friday......so I'm trying to get everything in order. We were able to get 6 of us at Sci-fi (love that place). I had heard that it is nearly impossible if you have a 4/2 table there to sit together. Thanks again!

the only place this might be an issue is garden grill. the lower ring booths won't hold 6, so you will need to be in the upper ring, not a great view as you rotate

good luck!

We had the same thing happen at 9 Dragons last Oct. When we got there we had to wait a few minutes but they pushed 2 tables together for our party of 7.
