Resort: CSR – Ranchos 6A Rm 6151 & 52
Dates – 12/3 – 12/10
Weather – Mostly cloudy during the day, highs in the upper 60/low 70. Nights down to high 50/low 60s. 1 Full day of rain (12/8 – did EPCOT)

Resort Good Points – CSR is absolutely beautiful and BIG. The main pool (Dig Site) was a favorite of my kids and was entertaining by itself. Everything was in one complex – pool, playground, and kiddie pool. There was also a bar and counter service food. The main eating area (Pepper Market) had the best tasting food we have ever had at WDW.

Resort Bad Points – CSR is BIG. They offer transportation around the resort on golf carts, however, getting around with little ones is difficult to begin with. DW and me would definitely stay there again, but without the kids. Pepper Market was confusing, slow, and very – very – very expensive. Kids orders were pre-cooked so they could just eat. DW and I had to wait for our food and then make them wait until we finished – so things were a little rushed. At other resorts all the food was ready about the same time so we ate more as a family.

Events:
MVMCP 12/4/05 – Excellent time. More people than we expected for a Sunday evening. We did not do too much since the kids were running out of gas. Did the Holiday Hop, Family picture, and a couple of rides. Tomorrowland was too crowed to move in the beginning. Weather was very good – not cold at all and clear all day.

Typhoon Lagoon 12/5 & 12/9 – The weather was OK for the water park, but my kids love the water so we managed to get to these twice. On 12/9 it was overcast so the park was empty (150 according to the gate count), so we had a lot of waterslide time.

Princess Breakfast – Aukershus – Good food and DDs got to see all of their favorite princesses.

Candlelight Procession w/Dinner package – Best money I spent!!! DW teared-up during the performance. Kids were a little boarded, but hung in there for the 25 minute show.

Must Do:
Soarin’ – We waited 50 minutes to get on. Definitely worth it, but get the Fastpass – there are other things to see in the area than the walls.

Mission: Space – Great ride – listen to the warnings – they are not kidding about getting sick. We did not let DD7 & DS6 on, even though they met the height requirements. It is very realistic experience.

If you have girls – Cinderellabration. My son played with his toys during the whole thing, but my DW and DDs never stopped smiling.

Osborne Christmas Lights at MGM – 12 miles of extension cords – do I need to say more?

The Christmas parades at every park. WDW goes that little extra to make the normal parade a lillte Christmas-ier.

Lessons Learned:
We usually go during Hurricane season, so the crowd (well what we consider a crowd) was a little shock to us. We had heard that this was even less crowded than our usual time, however, I think the word got out and everyone came down for Christmas.

It was absolutely great to see WDW at Christmas time. We will never forget it. I think everyone should see it at least once and stay 2 weeks because there is so much to see. However, our next trip will be in the late Fall and we will probably to with a Value or POR.

Let me kwow if you have any questions or want any additional info. Time to start planning the next trip....... :earsboy:

Christmas in Disney is wonderful isn't it??? We have gone for a few visits during this time frame and it was busy for us too. Thanks so much for your reviews of CSR .....I have heard that it can be very confusing at the food court too......thanks again
