I lamented the other day about not wanting to eat with Pooh and friends again even though my children want to. I ended up deciding that I'd be okay with it for breakfast but that it was really the lunch/dinner I was resistant to.

So. . . I tried making an early morning (before park opening) ADR for 6 at CP. Nothing was available, and I started fussing around with the system and seeing if we could get two tables, figuring since it was a buffet people would be up and down and walking around anyway. I ended up booking two tables for 4 (looked for two 3s and for a 4 and a 2, but those combinations weren't available) for the exact time I wanted.

Please don't flame me! I'm wondering if that's an okay thing to do. When we get there, can we just tell them we'd prefer to have one table if possible but if not, we'd split up and wait for two tables in the same general area. Is it stinky that we'd really be two parties of 3 and not two parties of 4?

As an aside, I don't remember CP having tables specifically for 3, so I'm confused as to why nothing comes up for a party of 3. Wouldn't they naturally be put at a table for 4 and just have one chair empty???

I don't think there's anything wrong with it - as long as you are willing to accept two tables that are not near each other. You might actually do better with the lower number if you split up and check in separately. If they allow you to wait for tables near each other, be prepared to wait. I wouldn't count on being put at one table though.
