I made all of our reservations months ago and now my stepdaughter will probably not be coming with us. Shall I call disney dining reservations and tell them there will just be 4 or just tell them when we get there.

NO-NO-NO! Do nothing until you check in for your reservation. At that time inform them your party size has changed.

We had to do that two weeks ago. DDs friend could not make the trip due to health issues and our ressies were all for 5. When I approached the podium I simply said "we're a party of four, not five". We had been split at both 'Ohana and Sci Fi, but they were able to accomoradte our party of four with no problem at both.

When I called to change our party of 2 to 3, they told us to just show up with the extra person and the restaurant will accomidate you.

yep, if you call disney dining and change any of them they will cancel your original adr then they will say they have nothing for you.
the resturant should be able to accomodate you with the lesser amount of people without a problem.

have a fun trip

I agree with everyone else!

We are going in two weeks. We have several ADR's for 12, but one of the two families that we are going with had to cancel. So we will be a party of 8 now. I am not making any changes until I check in. I don't want to risk loosing any of my ADR's.

On the flip side, we went down with both families a couple of years ago and were able to add 4 people to ADR's of 8 without a problem. It was at the end of May and not too busy.

I would much rather show up and have a less people than more. So I don't think that you should have a problem! Good luck and have fun! :)

thanks so much for all of your help. I will just keep what we have and let them know when we get there. I can't wait to get there. I really need this vacation.

we are going soon and our party of three grew to four...we were told we couldn't change it. But we figure a party of three sits at a table for four, so one more won't be too much trouble, especially since we had the ressies for some time...
Maybe your one fewer will equil our one more and everything will be fine! :thumbsup2
