Party for the Senses tonight!

DH and I are going to the one next Saturday and I hoped a fellow DISer going to tonights gala might be able to fill me in on what the 2010 Party is like. Are the flyers bigger with more info on them about the vendors? Is Cirque there? If not what kind of music is playing? Post here if you can and let me know!

It's going on now, but Disney did announce that Cirque Lite would return this year.

Just returned from my first PFTS. It was fabulous. Yes Cirque did perform. Food was plentiful and so was the wine.

How were the crowds? Are there more tables than in past years? I was at a wine dinner at the Flying Fish on the 24th, and my tablemates were past attendees and said they were turned off by the cattle-call crowds and hard time getting a seat until late in the evening. The wine host, WDW alumnus Brian Koziol, seemed to have inside information as a VIP attendee (which probably means he's in the wine view lounge) that the layout would be better and fewer guests would be at each Party, making for less of a crush.

I've never been before so I'm not sure about the crowd. But we had no problem getting a table which we needed because my arm is in a sling. The lines for food moved quickly and never waited long.

I really enjoyed this event. I attended last time in 2007. My complaint from then was not being able to sit so the wine view was great, though we did stand outside the lounge as well. Cirqu was there and music was awesome. Food was good. I will say lines seemed shorter and tables were available but I am not sure if that was due to lower attendance on the first night.

We really enjoyed it though.

Thank you SO much for these reviews. DH and I read them together and we are even more excited than we were beofre (if that is even possible). Glad to here you found a table easily. Though I think a reserved table in the WVL would be worth it later in in the month and in November I feel confident next Saturday will be the same levefl of attendence and I'm glad we didn't splurge for the WVL. I am not expecting a table but I glad we have a shot at one. SO excited Cirque was there! We they on stage, in the crowd or both? Does anyone have photos?

Last year, the last two PFTS were so sparsely attended that they were selling half-price tickets to cast members. So there's no guarantee that November will be more crowded.

I am actually happy to hear this. Hopefully Disney realized they need to get it together and bring back what people once loved about PFTS!
