Partner hotels, ticket pick-up and early entry?

We just booked a Universal partner hotel package online for a few nights in October (1 day ticket), and the confirmation says we have to pick up the tickets at a kiosk in front of the park. Anyone know if this can be done before early entry day, or does it need to be done that morning before early entry?? Also, how are they aware that you have early entry when you are admitted to the park?
A little confused with the way Un works! :confused3
TIA!

The tickets that you get through the package have some special wording that say you can get in for early entry. You can pick them up any time but remember that the kiosks are only open for a bit before and after the park is open (and during of course).

if you need assistance with the kiosk, guest services is open 30 minutes prior to park opening.

there is a gs outside of the park and inside of the park.

We did this, went to pick up our one day ticket about an hour before park closing on the day before our early entry morning. We were very glad we did because while there were only 2 people in line in front of us and the 2 of us, it took us over a half hour to get our tickets! If we had waited until the long lines of the next morning, we would have missed the early hour entirely!

Oh, on the back of your ticket there will be printed some initials. If I recall ours were something UPRV and that is what they checked to allow us early entry.

Thanks for the info! Do you have to specify what day the tickets are for when you are at the kiosk then, so it isn't for the day you are picking them up? I was already worried about missing early entry when I heard we had to stop and get the tickets at the park! Also, did you have to pay to park when you went to the kiosk??

At the kiosk, you enter your credit card and the code on your confirmation sheet and your tickets should pop out. If someone in front of you is having issues with the kiosk, move to another kiosk.

There will be no dates on your ticket. It doesn't matter when you get them.

You will have to pay for parking every day you go to the parking garage, unless you have an annual pass.

Picking up tickets at the electronic kiosks is very simple and fast. :thumbsup2

We did not use an electronic kiosk. We wanted to pick up our commemorative HP tickets as well and our directions said we could not get those at an electronic kiosk. We used a ticket kiosk manned by a human. We did tell him we were using the tickets tomorrow, but he said it didn't matter when we activated them. I am sure you have to pay for parking, though I think there is a discount after a certain time in the evening. We walked from the 4 Points by Sheraton and did not ever park onsite at Universal, so maybe someone else can answer that.

I stayed at a partner hotel but I am a FL resident so I had to get them at the park. I went after 6:00 ($3.00 to park after 6:00) to get them for the next day. Glad I did because I didn't see a human at the windows when we got there at 6:30 the next morning.
