Particular room recommendation

at AKL Studio Jambo Savannah view? I mean an actual number? LOL.
I would love to know if you stayed in a room w/ an amazing view so I can request it for my DH's 40th bday stay. I want to make it as special as possible and I know so many of you remember room numbers and the like.

Oh, also, would it work to ask for the particular room number before we go or only at check in?

I have found that when your request gets too specific, you will never get what you want. The odds of your favorite room being available during the time when you are there is never going to happen.

You would be better off requesting a view, floor, area etc.

You should note your request on your reservation at least 10 days prior to your arrival.

Last time, I stayed in a room way out on the Kidani side of the Arusha Savanna. The view was OK, but it was "to haycks and back" (as my New England grandmother used to say) from the elevator down to Mara. I had to walk to the center, then across the bridge, then down those elevators (at least that's what bell services told me). The elevators on the side I was on only go to the lobby floor. Next time, I'd ask for a room on the side further from Kidani only to be closer to those Elevators. Also, I'd avoid the savanna that some people don't like (I think it's the one with the "people pens". My room # was 5377.

It won't work at all to request a specific room. The chance of that very room being available when you check in is slim and none. And the Room Assigner has no way to know WHY you
What you want to do is to request a general area, view,high floor, near elevator etc. In this way the Room Assigner has a chance of understaning your desires and assigning a room that meets thoses requests.
