So my family is trying to decide where to eat before our Halloween party. We've thought about trying Tony's or LTT, but they are not showing up under the participating restaurants. Could we still eat at one of those around 5:30-6pm?

If you were going to do dinner before the party, I would get the ADR around 4.
I would agree that I don't recommend doing that.
You paid a lot of money for that ticket and I would want to get the maximum time out of it.
If you have an ADR at 5:30, with delays in seating, you'll be lucky to be out by 6:30. If you wanted to da any M&Gs (assuming they still have them), the lines will be long by then.

Agree with PPs. You'll want to be lining up for any must-do character meets at that time. I would plan to eat earlier.

We were able to get an ADR at Tony's on a party night at 6:10pm (regular ADR, not a "party" ADR). That was perfect for us since we were able to do our 3 fastpasses between 4-6pm, then head to the restaurant, eat, and head out a little after 7pm to go on more rides. We had zero interest in character meet and greets and just wanted to ride the rides with low wait times and see the holiday decorations and fireworks (from behind the castle, while riding 7DMT; the crowds at the hub are insane). But yeah, if you want meet and greets then a dinner ADR of any kind is probably not a great strategy since the popular meet and greets will suck up hours of your evening in lines (why we avoid them)

Sure if you can get the adr.

We never do ts on a party night. We will have a late lunch and maybe grab something qs if we need. Otherwise it is all about the party. We do not want to waste 60-90 minutes of party time at a table.

Good point! This will be our first party so trying to do some research. We are going on 10/31!

If you are going on Halloween be prepared. This party will be mobbed from 4 til the very end of the night. You get both die hard Party experts to first timers.

make a plan. The meet and greet lines will be formed at 4 or earlier.

this night will not be fun without a good plan of attack. I would not waste 1 minute dining ts.

do head to the theme parks boards for help planning the evening. This event will sell out.

Thank you! Tickets already purchased! We are staying at the Poly so we may grab a late lunch there or at one of the other monorail resorts.

We generally have a non-park day on our MNSSHP night. We like to sleep in a bit, and then do a late breakfast ADR for someplace fun and filling! Usually at a different resort than we are staying at. We love to check out other resorts! Then we go back and change into our costumes and head over early to MK. We like to be among the first they let in to the party. We don't do many meet & greets either, but we do like to check out all, and I mean all, the special photo ops. Sometimes twice! It's a different photo when you take a spooky photo and it's still light out versus the spooky photo at 10:30 at night. So much fun and we do love our photos! We find the late breakfast sets us up for snacking around the park. Works for us for that party night. I agree with not spending a lot of time eating, the party is just too much fun!

Good plan. As PP mentions, with it being Halloween and Halloween also being on a Saturday, the party will definitely sell out. If you have the extra ticket day, I would try to be in the park prior to 4pm to avoid the big crowd outside waiting to get in. If you don't have the extra ticket day, I would try to line up early or get there sometime after 4. Just leave yourself enough time to line up for any must-do character meets.

We went to the party on Halloween a few years ago and had a good time but it was crowded. We did not do any of the character meets. We thought about meeting Jack Skellington but there was already a line to meet him at 5:00, and he wasn't going to be out for another hour or two so we skipped that. I thought the ride times were all reasonable, and it was easier to trick or treat as the night went on. The area around main street for the show and parade was mobbed--you could barely move. Our daughter is a big fan of Hocus Pocus and really enjoyed the show, so much that she decided to watch both of them and waited by the stage for the second one to begin so she would have a good view. The parade can be tough to view if that interests you--you'll need to get a seat early if you want a good spot. All in all it is fun but you should have a plan. If you aren't terribly interested in the show/parade then you can get a lot of rides done. And I personally don't recommend the trick or treating--it is standard Halloween candy and you can spend a lot of time in line for that.

With respect to meals, we made a reservation at The Plaza for around 3:30 that day. We didn't go to a park in the morning, just hung out at the resort. Went over to Magic Kingdom right before our reservation time and ate then spent the rest of the day at the park. The Wave is another good option for that--you can eat there and then walk/monorail over to MK. But as others mentioned, if you are eating table service I would make the reservation no later than 4:00.

I have to disagree. I love the tot! You don’t get to do that as an adult, why not?

While the party doesn't officially start until 7, most party things will be available long before 7 (for those who have checked in). Last year we had a 3:30 LTT dinner which worked out perfectly. After dinner, we checked in for the party, got on line for Moana, saw Moana, got our party merch on MSUSA, did some of the Magic shots on MSUSA, walked the cut through behind MSUSA and got on line for Lotso well before 7 (and were finished with our Lotso M&G by 7:05). Long story short, don't waste valuable pre-party party time on an ADR. You are better off with a late lunch or early dinner and then enjoying some of the party exclusive food items later in the night.
