Partial Stay DDP Question

We leave in 10 days and my cousin (15) wants to go with us but because of her school schedule, she isn't allowed to miss the entire 10 days we are going to be gone. Her parents are thinking of letting her fly down with us and fly back after 5-6 days of the trip so she is only missing 4 days of school instead of 7. My question is can we add her to our FD reservation and then use her extra credits? We pretty much know exactly how many we need while she is with us and there will be a few extra of each. Right now we have a party of 3 so adding a 4th person at the restaurant shouldn't be a problem. We had a friend fly down for part a trip 2 years ago and we were able to use her extra credits after she left but she was an adult not a "child".

We are getting 2 day base tickets to use later bc we are AP holders so we would just upgrade her tickets at the window for 6 day hoppers and I think that would work. We just wanted to plan a couple extra meals if we can use the leftover credits but wanted to make sure that is allowed first.

Your cousin is still considered a Disney adult as she is over 10. All dining credits are pooled so you could use the ones she won't be using. You may have difficulty adding her to ADRs if you have any at the hard to get places like Le Cellier or Ohana's but it shouldn't be too bad. Have a magical trip.

Thank you! I thought that's how it worked but wasn't sure. I am *hoping* we won't have any problem adding her to our current reservations since we have reservations for 3 and 7 (we have friends going as well we will be doing some dining with) which are typically 4 and 8 tops. I think we will just go early and let them know we have one more person joining us and hope for the best. We will end up with 3-4 extra TS credits so I wanted to make sure we would be able to use them before I booked an extra meal at the end of the trip.

I would try to adjust the ADRs that you really want. There are a few restaurants that have 3 tops (Boma comes to mind), so a party of three isn't automatically seated at a 4 top.
