Partial payment using a Disney GC on the DU Reservations page.

I feel so stupid for asking this but.....

So usually when I make a payment on the DU payment page I automatically receive a confirmation that my payment has been received via email. I almost always pay using a disney gift card. Im always confused as to what to enter in the CVV spot.Should I not have entered the security code there? I left the expiration blank too.. bah!
I didnt see any specific instructions about what to enter where. I am paying $750 so I've exceeded the $100 minimum amount.
What do you think Im doing wrong?

I have entered the security code in the cvv spot when I've done this. Last time I did this, I do remember getting a confirmation email from them

I actually had to call DU in regards to a payment today. I wanted to partially pay gratuities with a Disney gift card. The DU person I spoke to told me to leave both the CVV code and expiration spots blank. I did receive a confirmation email shortly after.
