Partial day -- Sunday or Friday???

Just planning our trip and trying to decide about doing a partial day.

So far, here are the details:

DH, me, DS (4yrs), DD (almost 2 in October)
Arrive at OC airport around noon on Sunday, Oct 14
Fly home around 5PM on Friday, Oct 18
Monday - Thursday at DLR the whole time

Should I do a partial day on Sunday or Friday?

I would definitely do Sunday if I knew they were going to do the fireworks but I guess that isn't a for sure thing. Do they do an evening parade on Sundays?

Would be nice to sleep in on Friday and hit the pool before we leave but not sure how late we can use our room to change and pack wet suits....

We plan to hit EE each day that we are there too!


Or................

For $30 bucks more I could buy additional tickets for DLR and then we could do a partial day on Sunday and Friday. Would that be overkill?

I'd go with Sunday because I am pretty sure they do run the parades and fireworks on weekends, although the only "evening" parade is the Electric Parade at DCA. I think the DL Parade is during the afternoon so if you hurry from the airport you may catch it. I wouldn't spend $30 more per person because you will have more than enough time to do what you want during the week. Crowds are so low in October that you won't have to worry about missing anything.
