Awesome job!! I know I'm semi scared for this trip! I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze in some workouts. I've lost 75lbs in the past year and right now my weight is all over the place. I just have a horrible sweet tooth!!

Congrats! That is awesome :goodvibes

Like others had said... I really hope they don't mean in 1 trip. Unless, somehow, I can afford a 6 mos vacation at WDW.

But the ones I have already banged out are in bold. As you can see, I barely made a dent. I need to work harder. Either that, or hit the lottery so I can afford that 6 mos vacation.

Here's one of my plans... Eat a sundae from ghiradelli - so to burn those extra calories off I should take the path from OKW to SSR to DTD and run it there- eat- run back! :rotfl:

When I first started to read the list of foods I was like "Had it, had it..." but then it was like whoa! :worship: Give me 10 years of trips and it will be done.

I have a love hate relationship with Disney food. I have lost 30 lbs since mid July. :cool1: So I need to try to be good in December....I suppose I can kick it into high gear in January if I am not so good.

Awesome job!! I know I'm semi scared for this trip! I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze in some workouts. I've lost 75lbs in the past year and right now my weight is all over the place. I just have a horrible sweet tooth!!

Congrats to both of you! I would love to lose 30 lbs again (last time was when I was pregnant with DS10). I've lost almost 20 lbs in 2 years, but gained a little back, lost it, then last April gained 4 lbs back and still have not lost it yet.

Our trip is in 2 months and I know I'm gonna gain a few pounds while we are away for 10 days. This is what I'm worried about - gaining everything back. I'm really gonna have to try and watch the amount of food I'm eating and drink a lot of water and unsweetened iced-tea.

DS10 is who I'm concerned about the most. He gained almost 10 lbs during the summer and I'm still trying to get him to lose it (he's in husky clothes and has been for a few years now). It's mostly from drinking too much 1/2 iced tea 1/2 lemonade drink mix. I've completely cut him off of the sugary drink mixes. He's been having V8 fusion (8oz per day), a little diet iced tea or diet soda and water. He's just got to be more active to help him lose all that extra weight. He'll get a lot of walking in at Disney, but we have to help him portion out his meals now that he's on the adult DDP. This is going to be interesting

Morning Valgoof - just popped into find you :)

You have probably seen this but incase you haven't awesome Ohio University marching band

I have seen them live. Ohio State played them last year and the band came. They are good, but VERY different than what we are used to. OSU is a very structured, military style marching band. OU is all over the place.

ETA: Ok I should have just said, cool thanks for the link. :rotfl2:

Good morning!!! :)

Yay for not being alone! Hopefully next week ill be in the Boston area and can take it to Apple. I don't trust the people at Verizon. I'll let you know if I find anything out! I went from smartphone to dumbphone in under an hour. I told my husband to wait on updating his phone because he needs email/text/wifi for work and it would be a serious impairment!

We heard there were issues with the latest update so are not going to install it. Good luck getting yours fixed! :-)

I didnt know I had a choice!!!! It just said upgrade so I pushed ok. :faint:

I was talking to DH last night about changing the schedule now that it is just the two of us. He says I dont think we need a schedule now. We can just do what we want. :scared1: Umm honey, the crowds didnt just disappear because DB isnt going and we will still have ADRs and nighttime events I want to see. So then he says-"ok here's the plan-We go to DHS every morning and ride TSMM and Star Tours. Then we go play mini golf. Then we go to whichever park that we are eating at or seeing the nighttime stuff." So my planning is done, what do I do for the next 81 days? :lmao:

You're welcome :)

I loved how they broke out into a dance half way through!

I'm an emotional eater so trying to not snuggle up with Ben and Jerry is my biggest challenge... I understand your concern with DS - I was never a healthy weight (in fact at one point I was about 95 lbs heavier than I am now) however my parents fed us so much junk and never had us play outside. I'm already concerned about it with my kids (3 & 15mos) we avoid processed foods, sweet and salty snacks are treats and they drink milk and water. We also try to get a lot of outdoor time. My 3yo is naturally a string bean (yaaaay for daddy's genes) I'm not sure how my 15 month will be she is built a lot differently (like me sorry Olive!!)

However, the fact you are taking an active part in it now is great. I wish my parents had. My two girls were my motivation because I felt leading by example was the best way to teach them. and I had complications in my first pregnancy and well I want to have fun and love them and not worry about our health as much. It was and they have been eye openers for me!

In my opinion, this is our biggest enemy now. Processed foods are not natural for our bodies so we cannot break them down like we can natural foods.

I have been researching our food industry for years now (it all started with my Autistic god-son) and have been shocked at what is 'innocently' added to our foods.

As Jamie Oliver says, our childrens life expectancy is now down by 10yrs because of processed food.

I commend you on educating not only yourself but your children as well, because it isn't just about cutting calories

It's so true. We try to eat organic and don't get me wrong I have quick meals too- life is sometimes too busy but if I stick to organic and read the labels you can find a lot of good alternatives. We've been eating organic for about a decade and knock of wood aside from pregnancy complications (which are more my genes) my husband and I never get sick, neither do my kids (aside from the common cold and a stomach bug but a virus is a virus) My biggest peeve is how the food industry has used the term natural on some of the most unnatural products!

My grocery bill can border ridiculous- but I figure I can pay the farmer now or pay the dr later. It bothers me how bringing home good organic food is so expensive. Even how good all natural ingredients are expensive.

I needed to add exercise to my equation and portion control. That all natural cookie was still filled with calories and when I was eating enough for another person it was bound to go somewhere! :teeth:

Ok I'll get off my soapbox now! I could go on and on about these things!

I hear ya - why have a couple now when you can eat the whole pack :rotfl:

I need some advice. Since we are going the busiest week of the year, we've been told to get to the park at rope drop. Will it be possible to ride any rides after a certain time of day? Will it get so busy with crowd levels at 10 that we won't be able to enjoy any rides in the afternoon?

TIA!

Wow. I'd go crazy. I'm not usually a planner, but even I want to have a plan at Disney, lol.

If any of you booked through Southwest, you should see if the fares on your flights went down. I now have $190 Southwest credit because the prices of both of our flights went down since we purchased our tickets.

Fast passes!!! Seriously, they made even busy times bearable for us and are a life-saver. You can get a FP for something with a long wait and then check out shops or shows, ride something with a shorter wait, or grab something to eat. Busy times mean you won't be able to do as much (but getting there early is definitely a help), but you'll still be able to do a lot if you plan and take advantage of the fast pass system.
